  1. congrats on the early release
  2. Is that a small burger or have you got really big hands? Still, no salad, a man after my own heart
  3. Lazy barsteward! Lol looks like a heart attack in a box! NICE!!!!!
  4. Looking forward to the details mackam! How many went?
  5. With the 11% peroxide would it not be quite simple to concentrate that in to whatever level you like? I'm guessing through some pretty simple chemistry? I'll bet there is probably even a YouTube video of how to do it!
  6. Glad you got him back mate! It's a bad do that. Is it a lad of here?
  7. Something I've always fancied! Sturgeon have always been on my to do list.
  8. ive been heating it up to critical temp, so it's non magnetic and then quenching in oil, and then once fully cool and polished back up I've been tempering it to a straw colour with the blow torch. It may not be the best way to do it but it seems to work well on the steel I'm using. Trial and error, I've got a set of leaf springs if you run out of things to hammer ?ill take them off you fella! There not off that Nissan you left stranded after breaking down are they? ?

  10. Not sure I like the shape but it is what is lol hardened, tempered and handled in an evening (spent days on the first one lol)
  11. Got this far and decided to concentrate on the file
  12. Here you go, not exactly a masterpiece but it cost me nowt and does the job. It's tacked on to the gas bottle just to get me going, it will evolve as I do lol
  13. Ha ha I'll take pic tomorrow but I'll warn you now, it looks like a pile of scrap, because that's what it's made of lol
  14. Home made coal forge mate. Had to throttle the air right down tho as I kept burning my steel lol
  15. I was cutting some wood for the fire a while back and saw a grain pattern that reminded me of the old days. So took a few slices on the table saw. I've actually done something with them today that I think of few people on here might smile at lol I'm not an artist but I did smile when making it ?
  16. First knife, used an old b7 stud I found lying around, I'm not sure what steel it is but I know they are decent carbon steel. Think it was about 1 1/2" so as you can imagine it's a lot of metal to move! lol I've got Popeyes right arm now! But after some blood, sweat and tears I've ended up with this, quenched in oil and tempered, it's holding a good edge. Brass pins and reclaimed teak for the handle. I'm pretty pleased and have learnt lessons for the next one. Cheers ant
