Etiquette/ Appropriateness Question
air gun ant replied to Flairball's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
id suggest something you have taken the time to make yourself, if youve made the apple brandy then go with that. i like the fact that somebody has taken the time to go out at the right time of year and hand picked, crushed/pricked botteled, matured etc something that they would then like to share with their fellow country enthusiasts. Anybody can buy a bottle of something, i just think home made shows a better understanding of your surroundings. mind having said that ill fill my hip flask with just about anything on a cold day lol -

What do you lot think of this litter? A mate of mine is after a beddy whippet grey pup and asked what I think of these? They all look healthy and well looked after? But having only had my first lurcher for a year I don't really feel qualified to give advice yet lol he's just joined on here and I'm sure he'd appreciate your help. http://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/115303949/bedlington-greyhound-x-whippet-pups.html?link=%2Fsearch%3Fkeyword%3DBedlington%2Bgreyhound%2Bwhippet

So you want permission, but you have no insurance ? Good luck with that ! Pretty sure I put that I would get insurance. Not going to pay for it if I have nowhere to go to be fair, i had quite a few permisions before i was even aware that i could get insurance. ive also never been asked by a landowner to provide proof of insurance, only when im on a driven shoot have i been asked.

Shooting Over Leased Land?
air gun ant replied to tillbrook's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Shooting rights are a bit of a quirky British law that often surprises people. Basically, the right to hunt, fish or shoot can be sold separately to the actual land. So I could own the shooting rights on a piece of land that you have the deeds to and still be able to enter it and shoot across or on it without you being able to do anything about it. Normally, land is sold with shooting, fishing or hunting rights included so the owner holds them and can give permission. You need to find out if the landowner holds the shooting rights, if he does then ask him for permission. If he do -
I've been out a few times now? Don't mean to sound daft, but apart from the ethical thing, what is it about catching a few rabbits in summer that's so bad? If my dog see's a rabbit, it chases it Lol they can't be on a lead all summer

Just wondered who has one? How they doing? Mines been a knob all her life but has really come good this last month. Been a few occasions I nearly chucked Bonnie in the truck and took her back to Arbroath! but I'm glad I stuck it out. She's earning her keep, and I doubt I'll be picking my gun up much this winter

I do a better job mate and as I burn a lot of rubbish I like to do it regularly, your house insurance will always try and wriggle out of paying but I,m an old fashion bloke and would never pay anyone for doing something I can do myself, one professional clean is more than a set of brush,s just like a truck load of logs costs more than a chainsaw so I cut my own, infact most of my life is probably a little frowned upon by the modern pc, health and safety, insurance claims and blames culture of today, but I survive, thanks for your concerni hope you have your chainsaw ticket!!! Tut tut tut
