    any time any where. ill bring the dogs lol There was a lot of problems with the lure But Matt and crew have to be comended for sticking with it if was not for the likes of Matt we have very little here In Ireland. The master McGarth ,Don't know when I saw better racing WELL DONE ALL Was there on Sunday the Lurcher that won was in great nick as was the terrier Could not fault any of the judges The whippet that won was in top condition to me it was a tight call Again well done. All complaints put a side it was good weekend Thanks Albert and crew

    Well now that's another thing!! We just can't everyone happy osprey. All we can ask is honesty from the whippet and lurcher folk at these shows. I have lurchers and am sick of people questioning them. Yes there is greyhound in them like most race breed dogs but there are not of full greyhound. Unlike these unmarked ones that are being run by certain folk who know who they are. All I would say is it will all come out in the wash and I'll have the biggest smile on my face when my race breed lurcher beats that coursing greyhound....... Think your a bit out of order And agree with lady jane c

Somebody on this forum a few nights ago called John a cross dresser, because he took the whippet from me after I won the ladies handling class in Florencecourt and showed it for me in the final.. Margaret Mc Stay I am abit confussed with this bit. IF you won the lady handling class why should John take over It was you that won in the handling class not John regardless of sex it is the person that wins not the dog You have called this the final Do you mean the best in show

    There was two dogs in the final that were in a class of their own if there was a quetion to the breeding on 1 dog there should be question on the the dog that Janet runs in the whippet class But then if they were not winners there would be no questions asked

    No - we work with all the major organisations in Ireland including NARGC, FISSTA, CAI - all of who have many more members than BASCNI, so to be fair to all organisations ( and these organisations all make a more major contribution to our fairs than BASCNI) we took the decision to help all the organisations( including BASC) by subsidising their stands and let them subsidise their members. We did offer a FREE ticket to Shanes Castle to everyone who purchased a ticket at the Ballywalter Fair - again we thought that this was a fairer way to make a gesture to the whole field sports community

    Support to Gilford Lurcher & terrrier a well run show with the option of paying into the main fair. These guys get the dogs up the race track one heat after another with no waiting around dogs run a showing over and time to walk around the main event if you wish CAN SOMEONE POST THE POST CODE FOR DIRECTIONS OR THE NAME OF THE ROAD FOR THOSE NOT FIMULAR TO THIS EVENT THANKS

    Tango, Thanks for your comment - I didn't mind the stick because out of it came several positive ideas and even more positive ideas for the future. Although Ballywalter ran on a bit ( as did Mourne) due to the number of dogs - both shows enabled me to spend time, meet and talk to a lot of enthusiasts (and I mean enthusiasts) about what they want from their sport, shows etc. I am always willing to listen to positive ideas and even address negative ones! We have come a long way with our terrier and lurchers over the last couple of years but anyone who knows me realise that I seek co

    So what you are saying it is ok to race as long as it does not beat the two other dogs there was a black bitch run Sunday caught the lure it run very well Is her breeding in question So how would you ask Matt to get around this ? If a dog runs too fast disqualify it

    Is there a breed standard ie height weight they must go by some standard ie the kc must have a height limit for bitches and dogs the whippets I have seen at some of the game fairs are pushing close to the under 23s in height and weight They comittee should have just cause to stop a persons dog run other than they think it does not look like a whippet

    looked as close if not closer to a whippet as some of the others I would go as far to say there is quite a few crosses passing as whippets if one person is asked to prove the breeding then everyone should prove the breeding of their whippets
