    great day out today 40kms covered by copper 30 by shankly only posting this because copper took up over one side of a 600 mtr high rock in capel curig (mountain)after his own tail as they do and as i tracked him about 650 mtrs away (as the crow flies) i thought how am i going to get to him.? as he was working his way on the other side of this rock in the same direction thas was roughly home and towards the car about 3 miles away.? that we wanted to aim in .anyway spotting a gulley around 300 mtrs further on and thinking if he had a human brain he would head over (once he'd lost his tai

    would it not be classed as an offensive weapon if you carried it in public place would it not be classed as an offensive weapon if you carried it in public place have tried looking it up in the law and it is only offensive if used on a human and then self defense may come into it.? can't see anything that say's carrying it is a problem in this country. maybe intent to harm could be used against you with a nob head copper but i think he would struggle to get a conviction if you are exercising your hounds but while shopping or out on the piss may be harder for you to defend the same as

    never had a beagle hung up but they do tend to go under or around rather than over unless a bitch is in season then the fckrs will climb over anything

    i got some brass tags etched with my phone number on from ebay and riveted them them to nylon ancol collars and always put them on them when we go out and have been phoned many times to pick up a lost beagle so they do work

    we use 950's never had a problem with them and they are tough when looking for a lost beagle up in the forestry i have been able to speak to my wife back at home about 2miles away

    took me beagles up the forestry this morning for exercise about 7ish before the mountain bikers were out they picked a fox up and he run them around about a 8 acre stand that i managed to get above,they spoke for about an hour and a half as they were led about back and forth,the sound as it echoed around the small valley was awesome,the sound for such a small hound is second to none .IMO just thought i,d post this cos i hav'nt wrote for a long time and i,m pissed . and i love me hounds.
