They are only made of mild steel , i had to drill a few extra holes in a brattonsound one , no problem at all , just use a normal metal drill bit. Well i tried to drill mine and it blunted 3 new quality normal metal drill bits and half deafened me with the screeching noise before i gave up. mine was having none of it! no dissy intended with me reply but there is not much a decent bit will drill.

don't like to sound like a tit but any decent drill bit will drill through any steel and the lad who fckd up 3 bits sorry lad but there is a knack.

Hats off to ya. 25 years together is an achievement should'nt we all be doin that.? 16 years for me, so far. Not sure i have your stamina though if she's put up with yourdogs/hounds/ferrets and general hunting attitude for this long you'll be ok boy. Bert the Fert is my albino hob !
