I think you mid understood waz on some digs you get to 0.3 on e bellman and that is as low as they go so I find a quick probe sometimes will locate a tube rather than trench on all over the bottom of the dig this is where the old grey knocker had it's advantages

But the dogs of yesterday were a bus ride away from way from what is about these days firstly in the day of the olds two dogs was common place a hard dog was useless many a dog that was hard was put to sleep the modern day locator has changed the fashion for a hard dog years back lads would spend hours listening and probin with bars to locate there dogs and then another few hours diggin to them now adays we tip in locate and dig out some could argue not a test a they use to get maybe so but o would like to add I use a bar not always but enough and I also know how to use a bellman how many time

I try to get em started about fourteen month then give em a few digs that season four or five easy ones then leave em till the following season I have found this way if the breeding is right they'll last you I like most have spoilt promising youngsters by trying to over work pups give them time you will benefit in the long run as for dogs starting late How old to old I think if there bred right they'll go one way or another some to a higher standard than others the problem ing eyes is to many so called terrier men buildin there name through a show ring sellin there pups on bigged up story

There will be a hound show this year at the earth dog running dog finals in debyshire all hounds can enter from registered to unregistered there will also be a cross bred class for hound cross beagle ect everything welcome lets stick together and put the hounds in the public eye to show our committment to the hunting ban
