Hello again just wondering what kind of mole trap is considered the best type and make,also how easy do you think it would be for a novice to make abit of extra cash catching moles?i have a job at a local factory where i work shift work 2pm til 10pm one week 6am til 2pm the next so I have a lot of spare time to start a new venture.Im 24 years old and have never heard of a mole man in my area but there are plenty of moles.I was thinking of practising free of charge on my friends farm cos up till now i have never even set a trap.Also is there a time of year that moles are more active or do you t

I am new to mole trapping,just been to Mole Avon and got a couple tunnel traps the only ones they had about 4 quid each I have looked on youtube and found out how to set them but I can only get 1 of the springs to set out of 4 the other 3 just slide out the trigger and go off.I have just got rubbish traps or do i need to tweak them abit with some plyers?Any help apreciated,thanks.

Hi there,I have just been given a corner of a field to do what i wish with,I have always fancied rearing animals for meat and thought that chicken would probably be the easiest place to start.Just wondering if you could give me any advice on what chickens would be best for meat,what i should feed them to best fatten them up and how old i should get them ie hatch the eggs myself,get day old chicks or older birds,any advice at all will be much apreciated as I dont have much of a clue yet,just trying to find out all I can off the internet before i make the leep!

was just wondering what the smallest terriers you have worked or have heard of working are,any stories welcome of any type of terrier.i have a small 10 month old russel and I wil put pics on when i can work out how 2.the reason i ask is some guy in the pub last night was telling me that he used to use tiny yorkshire terriers instead of a ferret when rabbiting!do you think this is bullshit?cheers fellas

Hey guys if you had read any of my other 2 posts then you prob realise that i dont know a hell of a lot about hunting with dogs.I have lived in the country side all my life and have always been into shooting rabbits and pidgeons etc with air rifles and when i got a bit older shotguns.6 months ago i got a jack russel puppy from a farm for the sole intention of him being a pet as i had my labrador that i had had since i was 11 put down a few months before.Since i have had "BUD" my girlfriend got me a book "the complete jack russel terrier"by Brian Plummer.I started reading and i was instantly ho

feel abit stupid asking this but here goes.is it legal to dig up and kill moles with a terrier?I am not saying i am going to do it but i am curious.

thanks for the positive reply bullmastif seems hard to come by on this site.I ment it as a bit of fun for dog and owner with hopfully a rabbit or 2 to show at the end of it.

yeah obviously not a good idea cos i am not going to get 50 rabbits and 10 foxes a night.I will carry on shooting them with the shotgun and tell fy mate that he is a nob for walking his dogs at night with a lamp

well i dont think it makes him a nob just cos when he takes his collie out he takes his terrier aswell and it happens to catch the odd one!

Hey my friend has a lakeland and he tell me he goes out with it and a collie he has lamping rabbits and the lakey gets a few.just wondered if any of you guys have ever been lamping with your terriers and had any success?I know its not the most effective way to get bunnys but could be good sport?Thinkin about trying it with my jack.
