Hi there. i just joined and looking around.i do taxidermy for deer and would advise you to salt straight away after you get all the meat off after 24 hours you need to have the chemicals prepared for the process to follow.u need formic acid combined with salt at a certain ph to pickle it for 24-48hr.nutrulise it with salt and bicarb soda.for 2 hrs.wash rinse then put in alum and salt to tan skin at certain temp and ph for 24-48 hrs wash and rinse with degreaser and demoth solution.neering dry put tanning oil on.you can obtain all materials from jht taxidermy supplys with instructions.a bit to
