  1. don't wanna start a big debate or upset anyone,BUT,never seen any of this carry on 6-7yrs ago,was only when the eastern europeans started coming in, am i the only one to think this ?
  2. about time these people were brought before the courts,but,not enough is being done to police the waters of this country,this is only a handful of people being caught,i myself have been to many places fishing in the west of ireland and you here stories like this all the time and i have found 2 gill nets on the shannon last year, there should be X amount of water keepers/bailiffs allocated to every county,has anyone noticed the amount of boats,engines and trailers that have gone missing in the last few years?
  3. i was looking at buying the nikon d70 last year,but after much thought i bought a sony a700,it was the in-body image staboliser that made me change my mind,that means unlike the nikon i don't have to be spending loads of extra money on image stabolising lenses,so that means every lens i buy is an IS lens.there is a big difference in price between an IS lens and an non IS lens.hope this helps

  8. ya they are sweeping brush handles fairly stubborn to go on to ground but da hammer soon persuades them! must make a fair bit of noise hammering those poles in ? ya true but not too loud still sure we still catch them and them nets never let us down with them poles you could net a bull they are so sturdy! some nice gear you got there,is that a quickset you have there? was thinking of getting one for next season.

  13. i have 2 polecat hobs,both brothers 10 mths old,they both have a go at roughing each other up,grabbing one another by the scruff and trying to hump.I would only separate if they were really fighting and drawing blood,until then i would leave them where they are, just keep an eye on them.Hope this helps

If you are interested I have designed and Produce in a very small way a folding quickset basket I have been using it for some time and it has proven very sucessfull It can be folded and carried on your back and it leaves your hands free If you are interested PM me Cheers Sam007 Where do you put your quickset net when you are using your folding quickset basket? i just had a look at the pics for this basket and it looks a nice job,but it only shows the basket folded up with the poles in,no net,i might be wrong but i can't see 2x50yrd nets fitting in that folded basket,may
