  1. don't know how easy it would be to get a brittany from working lines, but standing 17-20tts you would be better getting a smaller dog for bushing imo.
  2. i have had 3 cockers over the past 8 yrs and find them very trainable, loyal and hard working. You could say that about most breeds, but to pick one for what you want it for then i would go with cocker every time, but like ideation says, if you havn't trained a dog before then a spanial might not be for you.

  4. know a lad who picked up a dead rabbit at the side of the road, took it home and fed it to the ferrets, next morning they were both dead, so no, unless i hit it or seen it being hit

  7. personally myself, i wouldn't take a pup learning out lamping on a full moon, why not wait until the odds are a bit more in the pups favour, there will be better nights to come, try and be patient it will be better for your pup. atb with whatever you decide
  8. sounds as if she is still being a pup, i'm by no means an expert, but give her time and show her plenty of rabbits, my pup done this with her first few rabbits, but she will retrieve now.
  9. if i was you i would hold out for a whippet/beddy if thats what you want, when i was starting out i wanted a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy but they were rare here in south ireland, finally after 4 mths i managed to source a litter that were 4 1/2 hrs drive away and i'm happy with her, atb with whatever you decide mate, cheers......terry..............................................sorry i meant john :laugh:

  11. hi mate, the raw flesh i feed are rabbit and butcher off-cuts, i usually feed this 5 days a week and the other 2 i give dry soaked in water, sardines in tomato sauce,pasta and brown bread, cheers......john

  16. hi mate i bought one of these about 3 yrs ago after using a thermos flask for years, the water only takes about 3 mins to come to the boil, they are light and small enough to stick into a backpack, buy one and you will never regret it
