  1. Hi all, After not using my .17 for too long I have decided to sell it. Its a CZ American .17HMR, 22inch barrel with SAK silencer, Harris Bipod with a BSA Sweet 17 scope (6-18x50). The gun has had 1500 rounds through it and can group around 3/4- 1 inch at 100 yards. The gun does have a few marks from use in the field. I would like £350 but I'm open to offers. Regards Andy.
  2. Good Morning all, Not sure if this has been asked already but I'll ask anyway. I'm looking to get into a new form of hunting. I've always ferreted or shot rats/rabbits/ hares etc. Would using a hound or two be successful?. I'm assuming that most rabbits would go to ground and therefore be a little pointless to hunt?. Is this the case or can it be done? If so I was thinking one hound and one terrier for general rabbiting/bushing/vermind control? What breeds would be recommended?. Thanks in advance for your responces. Andy.
  3. I have tried the tnt's, remingtons, hornady's and gamepoints. The hornady vmax seem to group the best. I thought the gamepoints were fairly good to but they did punch through and carry on going abit, suppose it doesn't matter if you head shot them. Andy
  4. hi, I have only put 100 rounds through my gun so far. The rabbits I have shot with the TNT's show no damage to rabbits what so ever. I was under the impression that the .17 ballistic tips fragment far more than the tnt's?.
  5. hi sureshot, I just keep them on fresh meat, rabbit, wood pigeon, hare etc. seem to look better on those compared to dried food. I feed mine the occasional egg. All the best
  6. hello, I think if you hit solid bone with the 20g gamepoints they may expand a little, the few .17 users i do know say that the 17g ballistic tips group better. As long as you shoot for the head then it doesnt really matter how much damage is done. What about the CCI TNT hollowpoints they seem to have the best of both worls. All the best
