  1. theres alot of crosses that would do this job fairly well to be honest i do know that if you intend to run hares regular a good sighthound portion in the make up would be good i wouldnt go for no less than 3/4 greyhound in the mix for a lurcher if hares are on the cards my friend has a 3/4greyhound 1/4 collie x 3/4 greyhound 1/4 saluki shes about 24" tts and she is a very handy bitch on rabbit and hare day and night and i am told other dogs from the same litter are doing well on rabbit and hare hope this helps good luck with future hunting
  2. ive run this cross for 11 years now i started with a 5/8ths grey 3/8ths wheaten then crossed that bitch with a coursing grey. I kept a bitch back from that and put that bitch back to a 3/4 grey 1/4 bull. I then kept a bitch back from that, i then mated that bitch back to her uncle and kept a dog and bitch back both dogs ran well on everything and i worked the dog with terriers and and the bitch with ferret and both with hounds sadly some A hole decided they wanted the bitch and stole her ive now got another 3/8ths 5/8ths wheaten pup who if proves herself may go back to my dog or i may start ag
