Just bad luck really then mate from what ye say i think do ye think it may of been different if he was ran doubled first time with an older dog ? was he a snakehead type ?
In your opinion was he ready for a fox single handed with you saying he had a few close shaves though or was it you mis judgeing the dog for what type he was possibly and rushing him into it ? or was it an accident like they all say when they didnt like it first time
Some folk enter them too early also a knock them back a million mile's..i learned that from personal experience..
I agree but there's alot still sit on them way to long much more than is needed and dont even test the water with them so to speak they just sit on them till the age they have in there heads and start them when phisicaly and mentaly they could of been doing the job month's before
i didnt think ye were mate everybody has different opinion's mine differ from your's on teckel's thats all there not for me but i am sure they suit and do very well for alot of folk's
They wasnt used as a gun pack that day mate and they were comical keep falling in the farty little bit of river and having to be rescued well i thought it was funny dont think the fella's whos they were did if they fell in once i bet they fell in a half dozen times i seen them used as a gun pack once and they made a poor job of that also the spinney was not large and in no way did the fox feel in any danger it was running rings round them and refused to leave cover they eventualy got it out when 1 of the guns went in as well with 2 spaniel's i was embarresed for the fella with the teckel's
I wouldnt own 1 and ive seen 3 packs of them and a few bobbery packs with them in so possible around the 30 to 40 mark ive seen, the best laugh i had with them was with a smallish pack think the fella ran about 11 or 12 of them we were hunting a river bank with them with abit of an incline they got on a fox and it ran along the river bank and was in the next county by the time they even got to the end of the bank were it leveled out they kept falling into the river and couldnt get back out the edge of the bank they kept falling in was not even a foot from the water and the river was not deep
Thought so what there ignorant little yappy shit's there slow your forever dragging them out of holes when your trying to draw cover they never put enough pressure on anything and you need a load to even get stuff out the smallest bit of cover they are useless in really thick stuff and they have the brain of a potato you are forever lifting them over obstacles and if they come to a river they are as much use as tit's on a fish i wouldnt own 1 if you posted it through my letterbox with a bow on
There hard to come by now day's with everybody wanting 1 so they can run hundred's of foxes to ground and knock dozen's out of cover for there lurcher's ive noticed they fetch a fair price now you could pick pups up as easy as foxhounds at 1 time,we failed badly this year with pup's we lined 3 bitch's and only got 6 pup's
no one is saying you did a bad thing gs,your having fun with the bitch so crack on,all i am saying is your dad knows i am right, a cull should never be bred from.
Midget lover

My dogs are fit as f**k as well mate and they get fed every day and walked and trotted and miss no meal's and i am hardly what ye would call a fatty and i wont miss a meal either
