  3. the little whippet lurcher that came to live with us, has settled in well, but with free run around the paddock with the other dogs the weight was dropping of. She is 8 mths aprox now, although she would eat her food twice a day it was picky, by accident i had left down a bowl of beta pup soaked in warm water, and she came in and eat the lot ! and my fussy deerhound bitch decided she liked it to, thay both love lamb bits but its not always available, ive also tried adding sardines this some times works. any other idears for fussy thin feeders. atb Denise
  4. Dogs are my family first "ever extending family " Thay live in the house and are all different in there own ways, The old collie still works my sheep, and the shepards do a great job of guarding, the Deerhounds are great to watch run and a bonus if thay catch any thing, But thay all enjoy a good hunt down in the woods not quite the usual pack, but thay work well together and enjoy life, and hopefully i can get my new lurcher working on the lamp and post some pics .I am always a soft touch and squeeze in a unwanted one here and there, but if quality of life is not there any more than in my

  12. well funny you say that i did wonder if the colour came from a collie ,all i was told was she would not stay in the garden, and nearly got run over 3 times, may be not a lot of collie if playing with cars but she is a sweet little thing and slept on the settee with no mess, she will bring back a ball, so today i picked up a road kill rabbit and she soon got the hang of bringing it back.we are learning sit and wait, and not to eat my chickens or chase the sheep, I am hoping to do some lamping next season with her and some fun racing fingers x ATB Denise

  19. Ive given up with my hubie, that way you are never disappointed, he does not moan about how many dogs i have in the house, and i say nothing about his guns or land rover collection, mind you my dogs are always fed and watered first but he does moan if i am out lamping for hours, and tells me i cuddle the dogs more than him, shame  Denise
  20. Feed little and often if small and weak, put on a heat lamp, mine come in the kitchen if a bit older offer lamb pelets and make sure thay have water down, if looking a bit of i give mine a jab of pen and strep, it will also make a difference if thay had any colostrum, sheeps main aim in life is to die atb denise
  21. OH Dear hope your knee goes ok My spaniel x collie has the run of the farm, and we came home one day to find him hanging between two strands of barb wire, not sure how long he was there, but it was down to the bone and pealed up the leg, and to make matters worse the feild gate was open, he could have used that a trip to the vets and £300 AtB Denise
