to get 2 bitches in total, this dog is superior to many offered for stud here. i will probably keep on the "picks" for a couple of months and then keep the best 2! there is also the chance there may not be a bitch in a litter etc, murphys law!

i check for that anyway, wouldnt expect a good hard working bitch to have these faults either, i was reared in a family who show dogs! lol

he only sold it to me because im a mate, we are closer than blood family, hes an old school terrier man. dog is working well, hes gonna be as good as his sire and his sire is unreal. anyone in the north should know these dogs, sire is sam, dam is scruffy- litter sister to tara. and no;- im not going to name- names if you know who im talking about pm me, dont post it!

im soon to aquire my new (old bloodline )nuttal patterdale dog, he is 20mths,chocolate- rough coated, working very well and is breeding quality as well as being a nice looking animal, i only want to mate him to less than half a dozen bitches with the aim of obtaining a bitch pup out of this dog for keeping myself and a bitch pup to give back to my friend (as a thankyou because he never ever sells dogs to anyone) who sold me this cracking dog. my main selection criteria for the bitch is that she is working well and that this can be proven, and that she is from predominantly old nuttal

i cant make my mind up with this story; on one hand they did a great job repairing that bitch, all credit to both the insurance company + the vets i suppose that its ok to do that for your 1 and only pet etc etc, on the other hand i think the uk has become out of touch with reality, if it happened to 1 of my dogs; even my beloved house dog of 8yrs it would be a case of pts putting an animal through that amount of surgery constitutes cruelty in my eyes, dogs live in the now and that must have been hell from the dogs perspective, people keep putting human values and human emotions on to animals

gosford castle;- Armagh, has massive poultry sale twice a year in march and in september opens officially from 10am but to get the good stuff you want to be there from 8am when they open the gates, costs 4.20stg per car whether you are buying or selling! seen approx 20 pairs of ornamental pheasant there this time!

i tried talking to him but he wont listen, i wouldnt be toyed with like that! i think hes gonna have to find out the hard way! on a lighter note ive found a lovely patt dog 20mths! negotiating finer details of the deal now! if i do buy him i might show him as well, hes only been hunted 4 times but is very hard and game! will know for sure in a week or 2

talking to a lad i know;- like me he wasnt born and raised hunting but loves it all the same, he was looking for a hard terrier, he got the number of a terrier man with to be fair what sounds like good terriers and has a few 8mth old pups, what is me off is that this guy is manipulating this lad and making him jump through ridiculous hoops to buy a couple of pups from him, has this lad convinced he wont ever come across dogs like these anywhere else etc and wont even let him choose the pups or have any choice over what gender the pups are, he also told the lad that when the terrierman rings

travellers wont give info like that to settled folk, its like being a grass to them! travellers dont live like us or even think like us;- they are a different race, dont expect them to be forthcoming with information.

there were about 4 pairs for sale at gosford on saturday, why dont you put a wanted advert on irish fowl? usually get a good response on that website for ornamental fowl! i find them too skittish as a breed for my tastes, need to keep them in a large covered run if you do get them, not a great bird for keeping in captivity, i dont know how experienced you are at keeping fowl but these are not a breed for beginners if you are one! lol

off topic a little;- i also work, breed + train the occasional working border collie, bought in a pup from exceptional trial bloodlines, when i brought her along with my trained bitch down to the sheep the little fecker started yapping non stop while running with the trained bitch, needless to say she was returned to her breeder, just proves that there are some strains of collie out there that are very yappy as well, ive no use for a yappy collie or a yappy lurcher either!

last year toads all appeared on valentines day, path near forestry was swarming with them, couldnt walk the dogs cos the wasnt a square foot that didnt have toads on it, bout 200yds of footpath covered in them lol
