    i think the best time in a lurchers life is when they are a pup and you are teaching them all you can, i wouldnt be wishing them days away mate. my dogs 6 in september and i wish he was a pup again with all that enthusiasm that he once had. frustrating though, ive a young pup here + a 12mth old rescue to start off! and ive no older dog here to teach her the ropes!

    few ideas when looking for a stolen dog;- put up wanted ads;- looking to buy black + tan saluki lurcher bitch ready for work, might help, dog thieves dont reply to stolen ads that often in the fear of being caught, you can always sieze the dog off the theives when it is located, i located a friends dog this way a couple of years back.

    some nice trotters there, was down at cahirmee fair last week and the amount of shite ones there was unbelieveable;- trotters all scarred up on their legs from clipping themselves with their own hooves

    2 x wicklow collies + the house dog;- an ageing and cranky parson russell terrier x

    bought 2 of them on sunday;- 1 for me + 1 as a pet for my auld lady..... they just curl up on the sofa like leggy little cats,.... hard to be mean + kick them off when they look so comfy....

    :sick: this was an adult hob. he was with me as his former owner couldnt handle him;- no-one could. he would come out of his hutch mouth open running straight at you, never seen one so wild and aggressive, he bit me many many times on many occasions, tryed everything to tame him, considered having him pts on many occasions. was moving him from his hutch to a ferret box in order to clean him out and he managed to get a grip on the joint of my thumb, as i was holding him with my other hand and the door to the shed i was in was shut i was stuck there alone with a ferret whose canine was i

    Hi Gem Did you get my reply to your post last week re: What dogs have you got????????? I am worried you didn't as I got no reply. I am having trouble working my way around the THF site I'm a technology thicky. So I have had to wait till I found you replying to someone to contact you. Hope you don't mind.     in contrast to this albert j, i was happy with the judgeing, this was my first year of showing ANYTHING at a gamefair + the first time i had attended shanes castle, my bitch came in 2nd in the ladies handleing + my dog came in 4th in the working dog class. the judge was one of the most thorough ive seen when examining the dogs. ive seen judges at shows showing favouritism + this years shanes castle was not like that, before you ask how i would know a good judge etc... my mother kept show dogs when i was growing up, qualified for crufts a few times.

    i think they did a great job overall. i expect it will be even better next year if they keep things along the same format

    do you want my personal honest unbiased opinion? Lads lets not start, the show was for a very good chairty and it was well run and judged fairly, end off. why would you assume my opinion was a negative one?
