  3. You've just put on another thread that your not into working dogs, so why do you nead to bring more unwanted dogs into the world. breed her to a k.c dog if its a pet your after. if not, dont breed. pups out of working stock are not often the most biddable;- my 2 wouldnt make good pets by any stretch of the imagination.

  7. a bit like one if your a townie who only vaguely knows what a great dane looks like. had a choc border terrier x fox terrier repeatedly mistaken for a patterdale, had a registered welsh sheepdog whom a dog warden insisted was a gsd x collie + tryed to enforce the irish version of the dda on me by insisting she "should be muzzled in public!" lol, didnt he feel like a real prik when i showed him her isds registration papers..... lol
  8. right, i bought 2 lurcher pups approx 9-10wks old 1 week ago, ive wormed them, and they have a constant supply of royan canin, supplemented with raw rabbit pieces in the morning, ive never had any bother getting weight onto any of my own pups but these are too skinny for their age, the dog pup more so than the bitch pup, they are predominantly whippet with about 25% deerhound in the mix, it doesnt seem to be affecting them in any way but it concerns me a little that i can see their ribs. any way i can bulk them up a little?

  17. how they do it round my parts;-use vehicle and lamp to locate rabbits , drive 50yards or so on, park vehicle, quietly walk back with dog/s with lamp switched off when back at location, turn lamp on, let slip the dog. if useing a "rifle" (not a dog) you could also use fox-call when in persuit of fox, a young fox or one that has never been lamped before often comes fairly close before realiseing its error.
  18. chat up lines..... most guys cant pull them off anyway..... lol
  19. sounds like he is protecting you, perhaps a little firm obedience training in the park will familiarise him with the enviroment + remind him that you not he are the alpha.
  20. depends on the breed and the individual dog; if your on about hard terriers or bull lurchers id agree but ive kept multiple dogs in groups as big as 6 of various ages in the past with no problems. my alpha bitch at the time kept everything in order.
