  4. Hi, just a quick question, and I will follow this up with my fire arms officer to confirm, if my friend has a open licence and I have a closed can I go to his ground that isn't signed off but deemed fit by him and shoot under his supervision? Thanks Dan
  5. Hi Elliot, think I pulled the trigger when removing the bolt causing the pin to fire, then when I put the bolt back in it wasn't holding the hammer part of the bolt back? I just removed the stock and put the safety back and forth and it seemed to fix it, not sure how or why but it seems ok now, not sure if that's any clearer, have you had that happen? Cheers Dan
  6. Hi, I just got a new anschutz, I think I've acidently de cocked it while removing the bolt and it no longer retains the firing position when the bolt is down, any ideas of how to fix it? Thanks

  13. Trouble is given enough time they will take everything from the countryman. It should be a law that you can't change countryside traditions.
  14. It says 70 % of animals caught in snares aren't the intended targets, so if I set 10 snares I will get 3 rabbits and two hedge hogs and 5 cats? Is there survey conducted in a city? I hate the thought of ferreting being taken away, this country is a huge let down.
  15. Figured out how to make sure your missis doesn't ruin your in house gun dog, simply tell her it's been eating shit in the garden... Job done.
  16. I was jogging the dog on the lead and we startled a rabbit next to the verge, we hadn't seen it, it jumped right in to the hind quarters of my lurcher, it must have had a hart attack or something like that as it lay in the road twitching, it wasn't wasted tho, that rabbit was its own worst enemy.
  17. No not straight away, making a fuss with it still in her mouth, 3 or 4 throws. Cheers
  18. Hi just after a bit of advice, been working on some retrieve training with my pup, she's not especially wanting to rettern to me with the goods, been giving her plenty of praise and now leaning towards narrow hallway/ alley to do my retrieve training, I can see she doesn't want to bring the goods back, will she get in to it and start to want to bring it to me using this method, I'm perhaps over thinking things, just that I know this is a very impressionable time with the pup and don't want to suffer later, any advice very much appreciated.. Thanks
  19. My lurcher in constantly mouthing the new pup, pining her etc, should I just leave them to it? Will they settle? The pup is still confident and also gets involved.. normal behavior? Any advice appreciated..
  20. Casso, thanks for your reply, I'm keeping a keen eye on the situation, want to kerb it sooner rather than later. Thanks again
