I bought a collar a couple of years ago to correct a headstrong cocker he had started to ignore the stop whistle and as he is used solely for dogging in this meant that he was ignoring me at 2-300 yards plus. I used the collar as the instructions described and tried it on myself before using it after 2 shocks on the dog I never had to use it again and the dog has never ignored the whistle since. In my opinion they are a fantastic tool but only to be used as a last resort and never as a replacement for normal training methods

Common sense would suggest that we should never have been there in the first place then they wouldn't need to worry about getting shot for no reason. Is it normal to shoot children as well then?or is it ok cause they where in a van rescuing a wounded man? Is it normal to load up the kids so you can drive into the impact area to pick up wounded ? I don't know about you,but I'd probably leave the family at home. That is an urban area do you not think that they live there? To be honest I don't think we should be there the Americans feel that we have f****d it up so I reckon we should come home and let them fools try and win an un-winnable war that serves no purpose I agree...go on home. I should think it would depend on the shoot I only let a handful of people bring dogs beating here and their dogs are rock steady but other shoots won't mind too much all in you would be better off asking the keeper there than people on here

Not many dogs around that are like Lyacon Pictus, it's more like a hyena. I think you'd be closer with a coyote to compare to. It is a lot better comparison than a fox though don't you think
