  2. fox have no protection in law what so ever other than the hunting act please copy and paste the part of the WCA that proves otherwise
  3. Just get some Phillips gun barrel cleaner and a pull through mate it is all you will ever need that won't remove copper though mate
  4. How do you clean it and do you patch out with alcohol ? I only clean out with a little oil on a brush then patch until only clean patches are left If you patch out the oil before you shoot with meths or alcohol you shouldn't need the fouling shots that said the way you clean will not have removed any fouling from the barrel
  5. How do you clean it and do you patch out with alcohol ?
  6. CC I don't understand what lead would be in your barrel just as I don't get why Sdan wants to relead his barrel surely you mean copper? I sometimes fire cast bullets, without a copper jacket mate, not very often but like to give it a wipe when I do, but its more carbon than anything. How do you get on with them mate only time I use cast is in my pistols
  7. How many of those operational rifles will put 3 shots into a quarter inch or less at 100 yds I would bet non comparing the army's tat and a sporting rifle is like comparing chalk and cheese
  8. CC I don't understand what lead would be in your barrel just as I don't get why Sdan wants to relead his barrel surely you mean copper?
  9. Longer barrel may mean more velocity but you must temper that against usability a 26"barrel plus mod is pretty unwieldy heavy barrel versus standard on a hunting gun it is simply a mater of how strong your shoulders are
  10. Better stock, better trigger, nicer bolt, comes threaded mine shoots cheap factory into 1/2" all day long Sorry for the short replies but on my phone
  11. Weatherby are threaded 1/2"unf good gun for the money having had a rem700 and a weatherby it prefer the weatherby
  12. What does it say for your .22 and .17 then Celtic ?
  13. Depends on the cover my 2 partridge drives are on less than 400acres and I put down 4500 used to be substantially more mindst it does help that I have the other 2600 acres of the estate to dog the back off
  14. You'll be lucky mate all there stocks up the game fair
  15. Well your area must be different to mine, in south yorks, if you apply for a fac for vermin/deer on private land, and do not provide evidence of written permission, you will not be granted the certificate, simple as that. Down here mate you give name of land owner and address on the application form they then contact them to confirm or at least that's all they have ever done with mine could be different for keepers though since it's usually there place of work that gives permission
  16. Charlie have you tried the 95gr hornady sst?
  17. Decker is right written permission is not required when you fill in an application for an fac it requires you state where and for what purpose you want to use the firearm but you do not need to have that in wrighting I have held an fac for nearly 25 years now and never once had a letter of permission
  18. Enjoyed that mate good find
  19. After you fire a cf round there is the potential for condensation to form this sits around the crown and last few inches of the barrel if you don't remove the mod it sits there and rusts pretty soon you can't remove the mod and the last couple of inches of rifling and the crown will be completely ruined
  20. the only difference between that option and not logging on would be banned under your profile and as you wouldn't be able to see it that would seem silly to me I know what you mean but folks are silly how many times do folk come on and say that's it I'm off then post again within minutes they can't help themselves f***ing sad really if the option was there they could push the button ban themselves permanently and remove the temptation/addiction that is thl and save us all from the melodrama . As for the new forum how long before stewie is offended by some non event then fucks off into a c
  21. Could a delete account option be added to a members profile so folks could just go without having to make them selves look pricks?
  22. Manually operated calls are just fine
