  2. I think where you scored mate is that you actually went into the shop when dealing face to face it is hard for them not to provide good customer service In the reviews most of the problems arrise when you try to contact them by phone or email and they fob you off or blatantly lie to you and it was not some shop assistant I spoke to it was John himself and I still didnt get it sorted to my satisfaction I will never deal with them again and It is totally up to any individual to spend thier cash where they like but be very careful with this lot. Being cynical you could also think that akt

  4. The CA commissioned a report to prove that shooting was cruel I should say all they are interested is their salaries and perks

  9. from the NE website Keep dogs under close control The countryside is a great place to exercise dogs, but it’s every owner’s duty to make sure their dog is not a danger or nuisance to farm animals, wildlife or other people. By law, you must control your dog so that it does not disturb or scare farm animals or wildlife. On most areas of open country and common land, known as 'access land' you must keep your dog on a short lead on most areas of open country and common land between 1 March and 31 July, and all year round near farm animals. You do not have to put your dog on a

  12. this brief believes otherwise http://www.wrighthassall.co.uk/resources/articles/art_frbu_animal_law.aspx Protecting game is rather different. To avoid criminal liability, you have to prove that the shooting of a dog that was worrying game, was taken to protect your own property or your interest in that property. To do this, you need to demonstrate that you honestly believed that, at the time, the game was in immediate need of protection and that, under the circumstances, you used reasonable means. In addition, to avoid civil liability, you will need to prove that the dog was either ac
  13. Still alot of pressure....more so maybe as there all the bosses days...... I asked if you counted none picked birds as that might give you a closer percentage to what your looking for mate. I didnt count them also when i had a shoot i just counted the bag at the end of the day. But i am now picking up at a shoot where each drive is logged in a wee book, the total in the cart is written down and beside that is the number of birds that weren't picked. Now i'm not talking about a tickled bird i'm talking about runners that are not picked and really hard hit birds that go miles away. I reckon
  14. Yes mate we click the shots and count spent cartridges but only count birds picked, as all 15 days are family days it really makes no difference what returns we get as long as they have a good day and make some where close to bag but as you know there is a huge amount of pride involved when a keeper talks of percentage returns. The worst day this year was a 200 bird day they managed 192 for 1680 shots we kept running the guns out of cartridges
  15. This is the real world dan........... When do you propose i ask the keepers to catch up some hens for laying, maybe the start of January maybe..... It isn't me that proposes you catch up in season british law does. as I said I am not sure that I would admit to it I didn't say it doesn't happen, fact is though it is illegal to catch up after the season so maybe the reason you ask keepers to catch up then and break the law is so that greedy shoot owners get their moneys worth from the birds I am sure the anti's will just love to hear all about that wonder how you get on with getti

  21. Aye and I can remember some dogmen staying at home doing f**k all to help the cause too same as most of the fishermen and clay shooters and who ever else you care to mention that sure looks like your after an argument dan. CAnt work out wether your for or against or on the fence.. Definitely not after an argument but I wish lads would stop tarring all men who shoot with the same brush we are not the enemy here the anti's are who took OUR sport, Just to clarify though I don't/won't shoot hares never have never will much sooner see them run

  23. If the brown hare is in decline why the isn't their a bag limit or quota system I know some decry the americans for a lot of their actions but they would have a tag system and make damned sure that the numbers recover. It seems a shame that the gwct hasn't tried a relocation program to repopulate areas with poor numbers I would far sooner see the hares netted and moved than at the game dealers. Looking at resent headlines it is clear that it is far easier to blame dogmen for the hares decline than accept that the increase in predators and modern farming practice has done for the hare. If the
  24. Spoke to him this morning all stocks are bought in as blanks and formed on a duplicate lathe the ebony is real and the spacers are rose wood
  25. Not sure if he sources stocks from richards but I have to say even if I got a stock from them no way could I finish or for that fit the ebony caps the only thing I can manage with wood is putting it in the log burner Pretty sure they are bud . But make no bones about it, If you can`t do the work yourself, then getting a bloke like that to do the job at a price you are happy with is the way to go. Your rifle looks stunning and you should be over the moon with it, ATB Cheers
