f**k the Buzzards......where are you get a tonne of pellets for £300......its £500 up here pretty much.......... was only an example you could add 70 per ton for flubenvet some for aurofac and some for the avitec but I think the general idea is demonstrated edited to say also some to the vet for the script for the medicated feed

Artic gun I had done with this thread but your post was reasonable and raised a sensible question regarding finances on a shoot so I will do a quick resume of costs but it will be far from extensive I will base it on a shoot which has 10 200 bird days for 8 guns and with an annual return of 30% charging £25 per bird. 6000 poults @ 3.40 £20400 20t pellets @300 per T £6000 20t wheat @160 per T £3200 Keepers wages £16000 keepers house vehicle bills etc

Strange how buzzards where controlled long before shooting became commercial isn't it? even henry the 8th and james the first saw fit but hey there you go. Just cos you raise pheasants and foxes are a pain in the ass for you, does not mean every fox, everywhere needs to be eradicated desperatly. If my 'sport' is cattying roosting pheasants out of trees, albeit, just over the estate boundries, you'd have something to say, same if my sport was netting the rivers where folk like to do a bit of fly fishing, doubt many would be happy??? It's not about guns vs dogs for me, it's just about this twisted desire to kill them ALL, it's totally uneccessary, and for most as there is f**k all exciting about the 'hunt' (cos its not a hunt), the most excite

thing that pisses me off lads is the falconers spout on about keepers all holier than thou like yet there house isn't any where near in order what with taking eggs and chicks through to selling unregistered birds :thumbdown: they need look a bit closer to home.

definitely work out a day looking at my shoot days I have a gap over Christmas and a couple of days at the end of the season we could fit it in, bit of a trek for lab but I promised him I would show him how a proper shoot works so be nice to see him
