what a rimmy i have had 2 shortened and never noticed any difference in accuracy although i read somewhere muzzle velocity is reduced but again i have never noticed any difference, if it was important i think the gunsmith might have mentioned it as hes been a gun smith for over 50 years you're no going to ring him and ask are you paulus i asked my solicitor and he advised me not too

stranger,don't mention the b*****d pressure washer it reminds me I've still got all the feeders and drinkers to do some days I miss having they underkeeper Once you establish your self as a keeper the dividends start to come BUT not all shoots pay well or treat the keeper right I've been lucky the people I've worked for have been fair and my progression from underkeeper up the food chain came quickly many years on and a few different shoots later and I'm now happy being single handed away from commercial and on a peach of a shoot with a great boss and a fantastic package that I could nev

good post mate As you say it sorts the keepers from the wannabe's, funny thing some of the polish and czech's I've had in the past on the rearing field where much better than lads out of college they didn't shy from the graft and didn't want to run home to mummy every 5 minuites

Yep its hard work the wages are shite and the hours will be long but when a lad sends on his cv a season on a game farm means more than any college cert it means he can take the pressure and stand the shite that is gamekeeping

Strikes me there's a lot of folks on this thread haven't the first idea about proper manstoppers (and yard dogs rarely are)they take a LOT of work,time,dedication and responsibility and believe me a dog thats tested to the full will take more pressure than most could imagine that said they are not bullet proof but realistically who is going tooled up to steal your cur from its kennel,if the dog does its job its more likely to catch hep c from the smack head it bites than get a bullet.
