    Always wean my pups on minced green tripe mixed with lactol worked on the theory that tripe is very easy to digest and is gentle on the stomach can't see any sense in feeding processed wheat to pups.

    Not so sure about that mate It is in my experience I don't seem to quite have the same passion everybody else does.     Nothing better than walking up woodcock with a couple of spaniels and they trusty single barrel .410 having to pick and choose the shot makes it far more sporting to me

    allies equally to game shooting. most people have the tighter choke in the top barrel, yet still shoot the bottom barrel first. even on driven birds. interesting isn't it how people differ I always have the 1/2 choke in the lower barrel and 1/4 in the top for driven game and shoot the lower barrel first, for rough shooting I reverse the chokes 1/2 top 1/4 bottom

    I was told by nigel teauge (of teauge chokes) the bottom barrel first because it recoils straighter in to the shoulder than the top barrel so getting on to the next shot is quicker and the sight plain isn't obstructed by the rising barrels but that probably applies more to competition shooters than us mere mortals.

    we used to have a herd of free range pigs on the estate every rook for miles came to them was some good sport when a dead rook hit the floor the pigs would fight for it they used to stand on a wing pull them apart and eat the body.
