    Totally agree mate I have used the same vet for 13 years I have 10 dogs and he is relistic about what I will use given that I have acess to farm drugs and that I use panacur 10% for gapes in my pheasants so he just gave me the dosage chart for my dogs.

    Another thing my vet recommend's is COOPERS POUR ON it is a agricultural version of frontline costs £40 for 250ml but that is 100 doses so lasts forever and my dogs don't get ticks or flea at all using it

    My vet recommended panacur 10% sheep and cattle wormer the dose is 1ml per kg 2-4 times per year

    I think I would get the 243 first and spend the most on it once you start felling deer and fox with that you won't go back to the 223 I have a 222 and 2506 the 222 hasn't been out of the cabinet in a year and I use my 2506 every day as for scopes European is the way I use swarovski 3x12x50 set on 12 all the time got 3 of them 1 on .22 1 on .222 and one on my 2506 I use nightforce on my 300 rum

    The 408 chey tac is a round developed by dr jd taylor as a anti personnel sniper round based on the 400 Taylor magnum cartridge. the Taylor magnum is based on a 505 gibbs at no point has the 50bmg had any influence on this round it was specifically designed to fill the niche between the lapua338 and the 50bmg

    The .222 does not damage the carcass of a roe badly at all with a 50gr softpoint I have seen many shot this way in Scotland It is all down to bullet choice. Think of this it is possible to drive a 55gr .243 bullet fast enough for it to achieve the required ftlbs to be deer legal on all species in england I am not sure you would want to launch that into the side of a sika

    its a trg,the brake stays on wouldn't have thought a moderator would make much difference in that cal apart from wieght,that said quicksilver have or or going to bring 1 out for 338's and 50 cals so if you no anything about them feel free to share.I always apply for moderators to match the rifle to save the£20 if I apply for a variation.cant think were I saw that about quicksilver Im sure it was on here wouldnt bother with a mod .ive used the .338 in the dtates .its an awsom bit of kit you need the brake on them youd never hold them on target otherwise mind dont forget the e

    cheers dan wouldn't want to get rid of the PMII but would still love an NXS.your the 1st person Ive spoken to who has a mod on something this sort of size as everyone has rightly said noone seems to see the need with it being a target rifle. like I said though I burn 101 grains of powder and I really value my hearing using the S7 means no ear defenders are needed to shoot my gun and the recoil reduction is most welcome too. Ther are lots of mods about that will handle .338 and I would defiantly be looking at one.
