    I went to hyde park,the march and parliament square I couldn't give a toss about mounted hunting I went because I want to see terrier work and coursing continue. Much better to stand and be counted than do f**k all. For all the lads that don't vote and didn't march STOP moaning you gave up your right to complain when you did f**k all to try and stop it.

    Why do you lads think keepers/farmers act the way they do towards poachers? is it because they here stories of poachers starting fires and smashing pens or poisoning birds or is it because of the telly showing them that poachers act as gangs that tear deer etc to pieces with dogs,driving fields and breaking gates. I don't quite understand all the arguing on the thread though.It seems that every one agrees that the real poacher A pot hunting man who causes no real problem is not the issue it is as always the twats who are doing you a disservice and it is them who get caught and make the new

    i keep odd hours ,and they dont ,the worst thing they could do was inflict pain on me ,how do you think the owner of a shoot would react if the keeper had upset some one that could and would make sure nothing would ever live long enough to be shot year after year ,how long would they keep their job Any keeper knows that if you want to catch poachers you just watch the times that they post on THL

    sorry whin but your wrong about land ownership it is because we have a monarchy that their is no public land all land that is not privately owned belongs to the crown.but I agree it is shitty that you can't hunt on common land

    Hate to admit it but yes fella I have been involved in some hare drives but not for many years we used to have lads with lurchers behind the main line of guns to run any injured hares definitely not proud of those days.

    the plan was if im refused a cert to have the handle area lengthened and the trigger moved along accordingly.other than possibly having to do more to get in the right position to use it. i dont see why there be an issue using it on fox when they put out cattle etc with these things. just to add i know a firearm would be more suited for ease of use hands down. but just supposeing i dont get a cert is what im saying. i thought i might have a better chance at obtaining a cert with it being so job specific as opposed to hobby shooting but you never know...thanks for the replies folks.

    If it was me fella I would put in for a shotgun cert and a .410 It will be hard for the plod to refuse that then a fac and a .22 or .32 pistol. A .410 will be a site easier to use than trying to bolt gun a fox down a hole but if your only option is to use a non cert bolt gun then I suppose it would work but it is far from ideal

    easiest way to stop people from running the hares on your land is to give permission to a couple of lads with lurcher's I did that on the estate I keeper and they are shit hot at keeping other fuckers off the land cause now they are their hares and it is in their interest to stop others running them

    im guessing most 222 rifles are a 1 in 14 like most 22/250. 223 you can get 1 in 12 1 in 9 1 in 8 My sako varmint .222 is 1 in 14

    There is a big difference in noise between my modded .222 and my modded .300 rum but the difference is 20gr of powder and a 50gr bullet in the .222 and 100gr of powder and 150gr of bullet in my .300 without the mods and I wouldn't fire the .300 without ear protection but the .222 no worries

    If the conservatives are elected in the general election then they claim that they will give the house of commons a free vote on the ban non of this will help though a long time ago a high up member of the CA told me that terrier work and coursing would be sacrificed to the antis so that they could continue mounted hunting at that point I told the CA to go and f#ck themselves
