  3. Cc what shops are you using mate?there service sounds crap
  4. Honestly never been near one other than their wildcat cub rimfire mod
  5. Personally I use the jet-z and s5 mods from Jackson rifles but I should ask about because others will hold a different opinion
  6. T8 moderator = utter shite That's speaking as some one who had one go pop and throw its self down range and when they first came out had 2 that rusted to dust in days lol
  7. It was common practice 40 years ago Thankfully, attitudes to that have moved on somewhat It was common practice because it was widely known/believed that it put undue stress on the hinge pin and lead to the barrels becoming off face by carrying an open gun and to be honest with the way firearms where manufactured back then they probably had a point.
  8. both of those video's are about as far removed from hunting as it gets maybe it's just me but my conscience and ethics couldn't ever justify shooting game at that distance but I guess that's what happens when the shot becomes more important than the actual hunt.

  10. dosage for denagard 12.5% is 10ml per 5L for 5-7 days dosage for soludox is 6g per 5L for 5-7 days doesn't hurt to follow it with solulyte to help rehydrate
  11. Yep I have CTC (chlortetracyclene hydrochloride)added to some of my feed for when the birds first arrive it's product name is Aurofac 250g I have it included at 1.6kg per tonne to give 400g per tonne of active ingredient as a preventative just to help with the move from game farm to wood it can also help stop the poults from shitting from all the new insects and other crap they eat when they first get to wood I wouldn't use it to treat chronic hexy though
  12. tikka are nice guns been very surprised by the weatherby for the price. is your howa wood stocked?
  13. I would f**k that vet off sharpish you need a poultry vet, tetsol is fine as a preventative or a mild case but you are loosing birds and every minute you wait with hexy counts it will just get worse any sensible bird vet will have soludox and denagard they are pom only meds so you need a script.and yes they are very affective
  14. How have you determined they have hexamita have you had any pm'd? what does your vet recommend? If you have hexy I personally wouldn't waste time nor money on tetsol if you are loosing birds you need a more aggressive treatment I would use either soludox or hydrodox and denagard you will see massive improvement within 3 days.
  15. Ohh it's easy to work out the trajectory of a 6.5 just pop outside and throw a house brick down the garden then measure the distance job done lol
  16. I wonder just how many deer Mr hawks has put on the floor this month or even year I'm sure your happy with the 6.5 seeker but lets face it any one who is worried about how their chosen deer calibre is going to perform at 1000yds needs give their head a shake, pushing tiny holes in paper as you so aptly provide evidence for is clearly the 6.5's forte it is however very different the needs of those grassing deer
  17. Thing is mate they rely on the premise that we have to ask what they will allow like a school child well that is not the case I am licensed to hold firearms I know what I need to do the job they will grant it or come up with a very good reason not to allow it, when I put in a variation it is not a negotiation this is what I want not what some pen pusher believes I should have.that being said I have a very good relationship with the firearms dept and that probably explains why they allow me some of the other toys I have in the cabinet
  18. Again I would question the feo's experience the 22-250 is renowned for being a noisy calibre and since it only burns a few grains of powder less than a .243 the noise the 22-250 makes could never be much quieter could it, certainly not enough to notice, now if he said the .223 was significantly quieter than a 22-250 he would be talking some sense but then the .223 burns half the powder that a 22-250 does
  19. clever things these new fangled Iphone's
  20. And a damn long stock it is too lol It's these embarrassingly long arms can nearly touch me toes without bending down

  22. here you go mate .22lr .223 .25-06 .300rum
