    I tied scrap twine markers in at every 10 yards, saves counting the whole lot over and over. And where I got a peg every 5 yards, I know that if I put them at my markers I know that every peg has 10 yards of net between them.

    A few of us ferreting lads, like the idea behind setting the net first then pegging it out, to take up all the slack in the drawcord. The theory is that with no slack, the net starts to purse as soon as something starts to disturb it. Works for me. Sometimes it just happens though...

    You can get cysts and tapeworm eggs in the meat, not just in the guts. Humans can get them if meats not cooked properly too, not that I`d recommend eating a cyst.. Its not just internal parasites either. Freezing would kill lice, mites and ticks in the fur/feather.

    Sounds nice, all very fairy tale... I scared all the horses, nevermind the rabbit the first drop I tried. Not had the weather since I`ll get it out again, just not with as much dutch courage, scared off the dark though...Fair Play bud, I know the skills needed for a good drop.

    This was this first one I made. Its not set. It was started with scraps, and got carried on. I`ll never lose it... Edited to say, I have made nets to match tho. Defo aint losing many. Half the lost nets are probably down to half arsed pegging... I know, ive done it. You know when your peg breaks through, and you think, "Mmm, is this f****r gonna hold?"

    Agreed! I cant stand football full stop. I only watch it because my mates want it on.. I think football players should be giving pink cards for their diving and amateur dramatics. Two pink cards (all season) and you have to wear a pink tutu every game for the rest of the season. I reckon that would sort it.

    Lazy fuckers, any excuse. Im always having it with the bin men. If its a couple of cm too far up the drive, they will leave it.. Yet block the road with the bins and the lazy b*****ds are well happy with that. Last time they left them, I threw the bins up the road at them... They f***ing picked them up.. Now the b*****ds check the recycling bin, any sniff of a bit of food and they leave it. Last time they left it, they said it was because of food. 1 chip in an empty macdonalds bag I ask ya... Wankers.

    Firstly, not ever mentor is the same.. But, in my experiance, having a yard full of birds does not make you mentor material, as Ive found out. I learned more from books than I did off my so called mentor. So when he removed the Harris from my first kill too quick,(he admitted it when we got home!)
