  1. Nice bud. Nothing like finishing a big net. Roll on the cold weather. It was probably me who mentioned friction breaks, all the memories just came flooding back... Just doing a roll of dayglo yellow 4ft nets, then I shall crack on with another 50 yarder (set) Make it on the bank whilst fishing... Any one selling a decent triangle, all the ones Ive made just bend..
  2. Whats that saying about common sense, not being that common... Phucking Pheasant rearers....
  3. R.E. Noise, Im using an electric plate(brooder) instead of a heat lamp, and Ive found it keeps the chicks a lot quieter, as they get under it like they would a mother hen and its nice, warm and dark. They also benifit from the natural light cycles of day and night due to not having a lamp on 24 hrs a day. A large brooder is only 65 watts too.
  4. When I saw the thread title, I thought you were on about going the toilet.... And still looked Hatching hens eggs is easy, I wouldnt worry about humidity too much unless your hatching expensive breeds. Goose eggs can be got from quite a lot of farm stores, on the counter, intended for eating, these will usually hatch if their not too old. When you hatch out the turkey poults, stick a hens egg or two(just to be safe) in there about 5 days after you set the turkey eggs and this should hatch first and show the slightly backward turkey poults how to find food and water.
  5. No no no.. Millet, you should know better, you gotta tie a dead ferret round the ticks neck mate, tick wont look at another ferret then...
  6. That all depends on what type of job you want and how thick you want the tarmac
  7. You been round Arthur Boyt`s for tea? No bud i went to visit Jigsaw and no goats around so he cooked that I think I`d rather a fresh cat than some of them stinking billys..
  8. Give him a PM mate. He should be getting back into the swing of things now, he`s just getting over a bit of bad health.. Remember, the O in nelson is a Zero..
  9. Ive kept small groups, with one cock bird in rabbit hutches fine. All depends on how many you got and what you want to do with them. Mad how coturnix come into lay at 8 weeks, pump out the eggs they do once they start.
  10. You been round Arthur Boyt`s for tea?
  11. I would keep them seperate mate. The chooks will more than likely muller the quail. Then theres the feeding requirements, the chooks will eat the quail food and water but will/can the quail get to the chook food when theirs is gone, plus the chooks will probably eat any quail eggs you might get. Bad idea..
  12. Spray around the bottom 1" outside of the ferret hutch with wd40 this will stop slugs crossing the line Y.I.S Leeview ps also works on your planters b*****d! Ive just spent £15 on copper tape for the planters...
  13. f***ing hell! Hope your well soon mate..
  14. New, second hand? Nels0n off here will do you a smart new one.. And a basket should you need one.
  15. I had something similar before the O`Tom. It had more of a handle, being purpose made. Found it a right pain in the arse, could never get them out cleanly.
  16. O `Tom tick twister. Get them off ebay... Dont do owt that will make the tick purge, like burning it or putting something irritable on it. Grab it as close to the skin as possable to try and get all the mouth parts out. Tweezers will do for now, grab it and turn it anti clockwise till it comes away.
  17. Dont kid yourself, he`s saving them up till he`s enough for a meat loaf
  18. Ive picked up and ate road kill deer, difference being, it wasnt there half hour previous when I was on my way out... Month long dead, stewed badger head, with a side of crispy cock is worlds away man..
  19. Get a blueing kit. Just bought one for around £18 posted. The rust and blueing remover works well, you just see the old stuff disappear, back to bare metal. The hard bit it putting it back on. MInes a bit rough looking at the moment. I`ll get round to doing it again...
  20. Prairie could be a good guess Paul..
  21. What a freaky little man. Another prime example of what churches and religion do to people.. 3 badger cocks.... that would make it a collection surely? Is picking them badgers up illegal, wouldnt you get fecked if the wrong people found stray hairs in the right places?
  22. Brookei or tri bred? Im not that down with falconers species, so its just a guess..
  23. That's what I thought, are there any large catfish in uk waters? there are a fair few now, allthough i think they may have banned any more importing / movements of existing stock, they were certainly on about it quite recently. i've seen photo's and know of a lake that the fish go to 50lb, and there are much bigger reported to be stocked in some lakes Furnace lakes in sussex has a few 100lbers I believe..
