  1. Gutted for you Lee, your not on your own, Ive some right shite luck the last two weeks, hopefully it`ll pass, sooner, rather than later.
  2. They gotta be looking for new territory Paul, I live on the south coast and we dont usually see them until you get near Newbury or Oxford, but there was one over our house last week. They are either doing really well or are travelinig quite far on last weeks warm thermals.
  3. Happy days. Hopefully the shitty feed back is trickling down to head office. Im too scared to change the batteries incase the stop working.
  4. Spun Poly all the way. Which reminds me, I need to order some more
  5. Well helpful mate. Do you make much bait? I had a crack last winter, only small 2kg mixes, but done quite well.
  6. Brucy bonus last night, still warm road kill Roe.

  7. ALL OF THE ABOVE!!! I bought 30 off him that are awsome, the gent wouldnt even take a small "drink" from me, and sent me a couple of extra nets. Also, His work inspired me to have a crack myself, which I did and now Ive made 50 so far which are well up to standard. Thanks again Bill.
  8. Ive only the one bit of permission, 120 acres, 50 odd miles away. Ive had about 160 rabbits off there in 10 trips. Im happy. Theres still quite a few left so I should be ok next season, providing disease doesnt blow in. Had a handful from other places nearer home too Not seen many if any diseased and dieing. Hope you have a better one this coming season
  9. Seen 3, coming back from fishing sunday, round the didcot area. Looks like they were on the shag as they kept pairing up then tumbling. Nice looking birds.
  10. As been said, most "poleys" are just poley coloured ferrets. If your gonna work them with birds or dogs, I like whites so its avoids a bit of confusion for the dogs or bird.
  11. Thanks alot Acu, youve been well helpful. Looks like its an older model, the plug screw is a flat head and, like you say, the number is done by hand with a dremmel. I`ll bell them tomorrow to find out more.
  12. You seem to know a bit about them ACU, thanks. Over all it doesnt look too bad, a few dinks in the stock and all but one screw looks untouched, the one you mentioned at the back!?? Also, it has a flat head screw, not a hex key as mentioned, does this mean its an older model? Thanks for your time people.
  13. It is the H.E type with the 8" barrel in .22. I have it in my hands but have still not shot it yet,so I dont know what the powers like. I think hes looking for around £200 for it. So maybe its worth a bit of a barter and risk? As for model I cant find any other mark than theoben h.e. system. Edited to say, it has that screw you mentioned on the older models? I dont really want to start messing around with things I know nowt about.
  14. Hi all, Ive been offered a Theoben Fenman, that I havent had a chance to shoot yet. I like the look and feel of it,so if I can get it for the right price... It looks a tad tatty and would need a new scope. What would be a fair price and what would it cost to sort out if its a bit low in power? Thanks for looking, Bob.
  15. No set date mate these days, but I should imagine theres young about most places now. I will be changing from ferrets to air rifle pretty soon,so I can be more selective and less productive, even tho the landowners would prefer it cleared.
  16. Done it with carp, surface fishing. Just as the stamp of fish was getting bigger, one snapped me off and was towing the controller, tackled up again and caught the same fish the next cast.
  17. Wrong time of year really mate, most will be calling it a day soon, except the lads that do it all year for pest control. Hope you get an offer.
  18. Thanks for the reply Jasper, I`ll let him read it. I spoke to him on the phone this morn and he almost said word for word what you have just said apart from the time spans. Strange. Thanks again.
  19. They were going for £15 on birdtrader, Looked ok too. Had a bow front on them.
  20. They make fake dogs biscuit flies out of deer hair I believe, Its just a fluffy ball of hair trimmed square. They look quite good but ive never used them. A tackle company has now started producing them for "normal" surface fishing, might give them a try this summer.
  21. Hi All. Right, a friend of mine has a breeding pair of barn owls, but the male eats the chicks as they hatch. So this time he has removed the eggs and is hatching in an incubator. But now the chicks are dieing after their first feed, up to 12 hours later. All the temps are fine and he has been waiting 24 hours after hatching before feeding, as has been recommended. He`s pulling his hair out cos he knows a bit about the game, but this is getting the better of him. Any Ideas or sensible suggestions chaps? Y.I.S. Bob.
  22. Happy days, done well. I thought I done well today with 14...
