You can buy 17.5% litre bottles of h2o2 at any hydropnics shop for a 10er, I dont know if its cheaper or as strong as the stuff from the chemists though.

Where them rabbits left by poachers lol. Fair play to them, if your not doing it to feed your family or doing it for a paid job, who says you can`t have a laugh, catch a few and go home happy. Theres been days out I`d have loved something to laugh about. Dunno about putting videos up though.

If they are more anatomically like dogs, why do people advocate cat food then? Just a thought. Also, I found that the THL recommendation of "a couple squirts" almost did nothing, and this was the cosha stuff from a vet friend. I used almost a full bottle, season just gone, on 3 ferrets, but I was dosing up the nest boxes too. Anyone think the fleas are getting immune to frontline, just like the dog fleas are, according to the vet...

I`ll check out downsizer... Cheers Burnie. For how long do you have to discard the eggs after 7 days on the treatment?

Hey All. So, Im new to keeping chickens, and I started by buying in 5 mixed breed POL hens. after about a fortnight (typical, the guarentee had just run out), One of them started gapping, so I kept an eye on her, and a day or two later, seemed in full health. Then another showed the same symptoms, by which time, I know now to pick them up and check the mouth for worms, redness ect. When I picked her up, I could feel her cavity vibrating with some sort of fluid I guess? Also, she had a slight sneeze now and then, but, same again, two days later, she was fine, no noise breathing and no sneezi

If it a warm southernly or westerly, they might follow, but if its blowing strong from the other way, north or east, they`ll be nearer the bank the wind hits first, cos its more sheltered as the wind passes over them. As with any fishing, nothing is dead cert, this is just what ive found in my fishing.

I prefer braid for lure fishing, you can feel more, I found I was gettin cleaner hook ups, were I was feeling the take sooner. Plus, you can cast lighter lures further, down to the thinner diameter of braid. I use Whiplash pro in 30lb on my spod and marker rods for the same reasons. Whiplash is a floating braid though, making it quicker to retrieve as it doesnt sink and create drag.

Couldnt say why I use it, probably cos its not let me down yet, but, I use GT80 from Gardener, in 12lb. I can put a 4oz lead 100 yards and that does me. If I fished gravel pits, with loads of bars, more often, I`d step it up to 15lb I spose for a bit more umph. I think the type and size of reel your putting it on also dictates what line you can get away with.

Daft carp baits that have worked?
bobcullen79 replied to gnipper's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
Ahhhh, Good old Stanley park, them was the days, wading across to ducky island... Have they filled it in? Sorry off topic. We used a lot of macdonalds bbq sauce one year on a certain lake, glugging pineapple boilies in it. They definately out fished the ones that didnt get dipped. -
Ive had my fair share of shite sessions. One time I had £300 worth of rod and reel pulled in, cos I was fishing locked up, fishing in heavy weed, managed to get it back the next day though, with a rake on a rope. Or, there was the time I was fishing Sinah lake, when the head bailiff accused me of shitting in a swim, then he just walked off, I reeled in, fecking furious, and went and had a row with him, then when it come to getting the rods out again, I was going for a proper long cast, when I hooked the bivvy, half way through the cast, snapped the rod and the top section came back and hit me

Hi All, Long and short of it is, Can you load a Loomis needle a wrong way? Ive made 70+ purse nets since Jan, that are all pukka, using the normal style of needle. So then I got the gear to make some fox nets, but I seem to be getting a bit of twist. I made a spool jig for loading, ages ago, so I know its coming off the spool right. The only thing different now, is that Im using a big Loomis needle. Only thing I can think of, is that the needle is rotating in my hand as I knit and putting the twist in, that said, Im making a concious effort to refrain from doing it, but Im still getting it

I dont normally advocate Argos tackle, but, Argos done a "Giant" branded one for about £25. Almost identical to all the other low end chairs the bigger companies are putting out. And, it did have extendable legs.

There was a thread on here last year, someone had made a ruck box. It was just a 3 compartment box, up-ended, with straps on, with the base against your back, with the doors facing out. Very basic design, with loads of room for improvment, but the idea was there...

When I first bred ferrets, they were 2 young jills, and I asked the old man whos hob it was, "how many will they have then" and the old boy replied oh- only small litters cos their young. one jill had 13 and the other 14. All survived. Got 2 jills waiting to drop at the moment, hope I dont get that many again, It was pure hectic at feeding time.

Chicktec Smart 20 Observation. Brilliant little things. Cost about 140. Just hatched 10 out of 11 cuckoo marans.

What got you into ferreting and what keeps you doing it?
bobcullen79 replied to Adam_Chuck's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Its the escapism for me, being in the middle of nowhere. Got into it aged 10 with a few mates. There was feck all to do in Liverpool, if you didnt like football, and quite a lot of mates brothers were into all types of hunting, but would never let us tag along. But, there was one bloke who would let us take his fox dog out, so as soon as one of us was allowed a ferret, that was us out every day ferreting, fishing, air gunning and egging. Looking back, we did some miles as kids, I can still almost feel what its like to still be miles from home with a grumbly belly. Ah, them was the days... -
Thats whats I was after, had to settle for a dozen eggs in a incubator. 9 Days to go with 11 still looking alive, not bad for 83p an egg.

What you think lads how much does it weigh?
bobcullen79 replied to undisputed's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
43.6 I didnt know we had Croc`s here... -
This is how I would do it. fix the top line, end of the net and the bottom line to the first peg/wand. Walk out your desired lenth, 10 meters or whatever, spread it on the floor and cut the net, then slide the net back a little towards the first peg and cut the lines at the same lenth then fix to another peg, Voila! 10m stop net with as much or as little bag as you like. Hope it makes sense.

Madness. Ive never really been into the Berkeley bait range, but if it works for you....

First off, I dont know how big an egg is. But, usually you match the hook to the bait size, I`d use a 16 for single maggot or a 14 for a grain of corn.... If you start losing fish, increase the size of the hook. You do know its highly illegal to use eggs or "taffy" so expect a mixed response to this thread. P.S if you do know how to make taffy, give us a PM, seeing as its so coverted, it must be worth knowing... Tight lines.
