  5. I had a phone message from some friends that had a problem Racoon in there horse barn, they were sure that there might be more than one, so we went out with the terriers and a lurcher to wage holy war on the coon population, it was a good afternoon , final score was dogs 6 Racoons 0
  6. Ratkilla, You said it in your last statement , its better than drawing a blank, or like you said hitting in on a skunk !! i know there not the best thing to dig, but for the young 10 month old bitch to have a look at and get a hold, its a good confidence boost for her
  7. I dont get why fucktards keep messing up threads, the lad asked about a line, not your arsehole opinion on what breeds are shite, no wonder the antis pick us off so easy with pricks like you
  8. You can use them for lots of jobs, I use mine for probing where the pipe is, and also getting through permafrost, before locators you'd probe with them to listen for the terrier below ground
  9. Thanks mate , she's a Bonny bitch, and she's showing really good potential, her sire and mother are both grafting well so there's no reason why she won't
  10. Here's a pic of my young Border Bitch Tetley, shes 10 1/2 months old and has been out a few times with the older dogs and and has gotten a hold of a coon and a possum already, she's as keen as they come, she is kennel club registered and will be in her first show next month, which goes to show just because they show doesnt mean they cant work, yes she is still young but i have no doubts she be a good working bitch, its my first time showing registered dogs, but figure why not, if we have working Borders and dont register them theyll end up the same as Bedlingtons as two different types and i
  11. Ratkilla, im not sure i follow you, why would i be pissed by the fact it was a possum? i hunt whatevers in the hole, could be Racoon, possum, or fox , im not fussed what it is as long as the dogs are getting out and working
  12. Good job mate , stout strong sorts
  13. Its not so bad as this hunt is and annex of golf course, the name is actually called the London Hunt and Country Club, so the groundsguys just have to suck it up but we do stick to the pathways through the golf course
  14. Get it on some Bears it'll have no bother getting down to one...... no but seriously, like a few lads have said, she'll be fine in big old places just dont expect her to get in to tight spots
  15. Yeah mate, i dont think he was too impressed with the cold wind, ive had 4 generations of this line of lurcher, but the last cross was out of one of my brothers Pure whippets from back home so the coat isnt there any more, hes game as they come and if we're working barns for Coon he's fine, even when it is cold because the barns keep the wind at bay, but on the edge of a wood with the wind howling, waiting around, he wasnt too chuffed, ive a friend thats hopefully bred his bitch, she's Colie/whippet and he's put his Beddie/Whippet over her so if i get a bitch outa that litter i'll breed that b

  19. Good job mate, and well done persevering with her, I have borders too and you do have to be patient, we got a good sized Racoon this afternoon above ground but my 10 month old bitch was getting fired into it, I lifted her so she didn't get bitten up , once it was dead she slammed right back into it
