  2. Looking for a position in a shooting syndicate, DIY shoot, rough shoot etc around north of england if any one knows of any places please drop me a PM, Thanks
  3. Any one heard of this dog, was sire to my pup owned by a keeper from Shropshire, big fawn dog with supposedly a dash of saluki in the mix. Any one know the height of this dog? Cheers lads
  4. Just to let you lads know after a lot of arguments, persuasion and promises to the mrs she has finally caved in and is letting me keep my pup. Absolutely over the moon I can keep him. Coming on great looking to the future with him. Thanks to the lads who showed intrest
  5. Im gutted Craig, my mrs is having none of it.. Heartbreaking, got to do what's best mate. He's a lovely pup, will do some one proud.
  6. Genuine sale, As above my Bull whippet x saluki bull grey pup is going to have to go, he was biggest dog in litter, all black with white flash on chest. Made the hard decision due to my mrs starting ivf treatment which we did not plan on getting having been refused once, I work away on the rigs and she's adamant now that a baby may be on the way that I can't keep him. Dog is from good stock waited for the right pup for months after visiting various litters I decided he was the one. Mother was 23" tts nice and racy and took reds single pre ban. Sire was owned by a keeper from Shropshire and was
  7. Very nice mate, what size panels did you use? I'm home on Wednesday so will be starting mine will add some pics. My run is 3metres x 1.5 metres fro. Galv panels
  8. On my mates permission there are some Seriously mad cows, we walk through and they run up behind ya trying to head but ya, even worse if were with the dogs they don't like them at all
  9. I plan to slope the full base as you say cleanspade and make adjustments to Kennel, i will also go with cutting the side pieces of the shuttering to gain my slope. Thanks again boys
  10. Right decided this is my plan lads. I'm going to have a Run sized 3m x 1.5m. I will be installing drain gullies and a soak away. I will now be installing a concrete base which is sized 3.25m x 1.75m to allow adequate space for run installation. Am I right in thinking that with the above measurements and a concrete thickness of 75mm (3") that I need approx 0.75 ton (750kg) of ballast and 140kg of cement? The next question is how do I achieve a slope on the base towards the drain? Do I cut the side shutting wood on an angle? Cheers
  11. Great advice lads, un fortunately I don't have a man hole sewer drain in my garden, the only drain I have is the one my guttering goes in to. So may go with plan of picking the shite up and connecting into existing drain and flushing the run and piss down there
  12. 15bags of cement what do they weigh seem some that are 10 15 and 25 kg? Obviously I will need to hire a mixer? Once I have a load ready just tip it in to shuttering then start on next batch? Once full level it off then leave to set? Thanks lads, big help
  13. To be honest qbgrey I'm only kennelling one dog as my other two are in the house and like you say I will be picking the shit up anyway so the amount of pee won't be a lot so I'm tempted just to make the slab on a slight gradient and flush away with hose onto grass as this seems like the easiest option. It's just the smell I'm concerned with but I will be keeling it clean and flushing daily so may not be a problem. The 40kg bags of ballast and cement are these pre mixed? The area will be 14.5ft x 6.5ft so not sure on quantitys. I will need Appreciate the help lads, thanks
  14. Again thanks for the info lads.. With the drain would I lay that within my wooden shuttering obviously before I pour in my mix or is this installed afterwards outside the slab in some sort of housing?
  15. Thanks for the advice lads.. Some novice questions... Here goes.. I have one problem being that I live in a mid terrace and access to my back garden can only be accessed through my house or at a push if I speak with next door and remove a fence panel and use his walkway. This means I getting gear in to my back garden is a bit of a chew on. If I went down the route of getting a mix dropped off, what would they drop it in? as I would have to take it through in a barrow which may take some time If I was to hire a mixer and station it in my garden and make my own mix obviously this
  16. Lads, need some advice.. i will be needing a concrete base installing in my back garden to build my new kennel on. Obviously i would like it with some sort of drainage installed, i have access to a drain point near by from which the guttering from my house goes in to.. Can any one reccomend any one? or if any one knows any one who builds resonably priced kennels please let me know Cheers

  21. Well everything's well up round my way, crops starting to ripen and the covers thick. As far as huntings concerd its pretty much non existent whilst the young are born and next years sport matures. I've managed to bag the odd bunny with the shotgun whilst it hugs the over grown hedge rows or getting the rare low flying pigeon whilst out mooching with the dogs and gun. However I'm longing for the fields to be cut and the days to shorten so I can get out with my little whippet cross on the Lamp. This will be her first season having just turned 13 month and I have high hopes for her. I'm hoping t

  23. My pal of here rapidjenky uses the tracer 170 and it's a decent lamp, good enough for most scenarios, I believe it uses a 75w bulb where as the lightforce equivilant the striker uses a 100w bulb, the lightforce throws a tighter beam I think but both good lamps. Wiring will be a lot better in tracer and the variable power dial is also better as lightforce now use 2 buttons which is crap, I have just sent my new one back. As for battery's you won't need any other battery if you go with the 22ah lithium it's brilliant, I have just got one for next season and the size to weight to power ratio comp
