  4. I'm looking to add a bushing dog or bitch to my team, I know it's a long shot but I am looking for something working cover, a terrier that's failed as an earth dog or a purpose bread bushing terrier etc.. I want something to work with my lurchers along the hedgerows and a bit of ratting around the farm. good home awaiting for the right dog or bitch, thanks
  5. As above lads I'm after a well bred bushing dog come the new year.. Breed not important but must be from proven workers. Ideally I would like a spaniel terrier cross something along them lines but not to concerned as long as they graft.. I will be mainly flushing rabbits for the whippets and fox to gun so if any one knows of a planned litter can you let me know.. Cheers

  8. I work 2 weeks on 3 off in the North Sea, I love it.. Good rig I'm on with good set of lads, the trip flys in. Having 3 weeks off to spend with the family and get my dog work/shooting etc in deffo makes up for the 2 weeks in away
  9. You could go in as a pipefitter know I load of lads who have done it, ex plumbers / gas fitters and a few that have no engineering aptitude at all lol.. Get the mandatory courses and get your cv out there, the rest is down to you.. A lot of the time it's not what you know it's who you know, I've helped a lot of my pals get a start and they all enjoy it, good money, plenty time off.. Jobs a gooden. Good luck mate!
  10. For years ive lamped / day time walked fields on my pals permission which have bullocks in. You can pretty much guarantee as soon as they clock you they are into you. Following you round trying to head but you, my arse nips every time as you always get one getting a little too close for comfort. We just remain calm and carry on as normal but it unnerves me every time in around them. They are very inquisitive of the dogs and have seen them trying to kick/trample the terriers before. All our dogs are bomb proof around stock so don't bat an eye lid but the bullocks almost goad the dogs on tryin
  11. Forgot to mention dog is located in stockton on tees, north east England
  12. As above a good pal who isint on here is looking for a home for his 4yr old blue and white whippet dog around 20" tts. Right this dog isint a worker he bought it as a year old and to be honest it's a pet and that's about it. It dosent retrieve and to be honest not the most obedient of dogs either but if some one wants a pet who is house trained and good with other dogs then this Might suit. It loves to be out walking can be off the lead dosent venture far but as I say not the best with recall etc. It's fine with ferrets and marks the odd set. Bonny looking thing I will get some pic
  13. She looks nice Hargreaves, how's tall is she and is? How's she bred bull whippet grey?
  14. I had a 5/8 3/8 bull grey bitch, best dog I've ever owned. She was 1000% game as they come. with me working away she needed constant graft which I couldn't give her so she's at one of my very good pals kennels getting the graft she deserves and what a bitch she is. I ran her with my 1/4 bull Lurcher as shown above last season and to be fair she could run just as fast, and had plenty of wind only slight edge way my 1/4 dog popped her on the turns
  15. Just had a look at your litter what moorside put on the gaffer, they look belters. How tall is dam and sire? Should have some belters there mate!
  16. My pup was around 23" at 6 month he made 26.5"tts so I reckon you have a few more inch yet mate, does the pup have much knuckle left? I would think it still has quite a bit of growing to do
  17. Cherrs mate, I work offshore on the rigs doing a 2 week on 3 week off rotation so when I'm home we are out day and night through out season. During summer were out putting the miles in on the road/mooching, I try to cram as much as I can in with them when I'm home, my mrs and my old fella don't do a bad job when I'm away either so can't complain
