  1. Aye. . . . nice. Wonder how she will be doing in a years time?
  2. I've had a chat with my mrs, she doesn't really know what to charge, but she is really keen to take commissions. After looking at other peoples art and pricing she came up with - A4 Acrylic on canvas - £45 A3 Acrylic on canvas - £60 A2 Acrylic on canvas - £75 A4 Sketch on canvas - £30 A3 Sketch on canvas - £40 A2 Sketch on canvas - £50 How does that sound? Like I said, it's just an idea.
  3. Thanks very much guys, the comments are much appreciated. She has no confidence in her painting at all. I'll ask her about prices etc. Socks - i'm not surprised. . . . have a think. It's from a photo.
  4. The thing is BH. . . . the sanctions aren't really sanctions. It's just things like being on report, or being sent home. . . . if the parents don't really punish that, it just means diddly squat. I'm not saying that she should have taped their mouths up, but at the end of the day it was a wee bit of tape. . . . it was no big deal, and its been made out like she battered shit into them. There is FAR worse emotional and verbal abuse that occurs that goes unreported or challenged all of the time.
  5. It frightens me how some people can be involved in fieldsports and yet so uneducated about them?
  6. It's always nice taking wild animals from their natural environment so you can feel like 'the man' because you own it. . . . .
  7. Aye 'i'm so scared to go back to school' . . . . . it was a bit of sellotape on your gob. . . . if that's your worst experience in school. . . . . . you are decking lucky son!
  8. My first thought was 'MAN THE f**k UP'. Aye it's not really the done thing - but she is Spanish, their a bit more hard core haha. Look at that kid holding up the sellotape and complaining of the rash he got . . . . miserable little f****r I bet that the school is in a more 'affluent' area.
  9. Cheers guys. She did a diploma in fine art, specialising in ceramics and textiles. She's only really started drawing and painting dogs etc since she met me 6 months ago. I'm pretty proud of her to be fair.
  10. Quite possibly the greatest thing i've found on you tube. . . .
  11. Just thought i'd stick up some of the practice paintings the mrs has been doing recently.
  12. Aye, Rake Aboot is your man. . . . he's bang into those E.U's. Always ranting and raving about how much unlike the average ferret they are.
  13. Snares are working 24/7. A properly set snare line can be lethal if the ground is right. Night shooting would be far better mate.
  14. Your going to need a good amount of field craft. . . . and a fair dose of luck. I hope the farmer realises that while you may pick off the odd fox, with the restrictions in place, you are never going to solve his fox problem. . . . .
  15. She herself doesn't but. . . . . I'll pm you.
  16. I'd make it so that the fox can't carry it off. Something we've used before, is to get a tub, fill it with the bloop and punch lots of holes in the top. . . . and then sinking it into the ground, so foxy is scratching at it. Lay a few bits about the top. . . monitor if its gone, once its been used set up your ambush. They should come back and have a good scratch. . . . . . probably at night though . . . . Cage traps?
  17. The dam was a pure beagle. The sire was a beagle/teckel mix, with a dash of cocker and terrier way back. I've got her breeding back several gens somewhere.
  18. Cheers mate It's a bitch though She has changed the way I hunt a fair bit. Also she has surprised me with her preferred quarry
  19. A stink pit. You basically create an area where you dump all of the dead stuff, and at this time of year afterbirth, dead lambs etc. Any vermin you shoot etc. Normally you would create only a certain number of routes to it and set snares on them. But you could make it somewhere that is hidden away, so the fox feels safe, rather than in the open, but with maybe a high seat put up for you to ambush them? Then try early mornings and evenings. Obviously baiting them requires a removal of easy alternatives, so if he lambs outside and there is afterbirth lying all over the fields.. . . .that mi
  20. Thanks lads. Swede - That's her marking 'strong' lol, I'm pretty sure if she ran something into somewhere she could fit, she would go down. How long she would stay. . . . not sure. But i've had to reach down a hole and pull her out by the back legs a few times. . . Fox pack - Not entirely sure. . . she's about the same size as my cocker dog, and he's a good strong cocker. Maybe around 15"tts shoulder, and weighs in at about 15.5 Kilos. She's incredibly solid. How tall are those beagle x cocker dogs of yours. . . ?
  21. Terriers. Or Gun Pack Or Snares. All three will be more successful. Or all of the above and shooting on top!
