  1. Yer mate you need to add drawstrings - i'll take them if you want - i'll even give you something for them
  2. For anyone that doesnt use ferretone - it is really good for their coats and makes collaring them up a piece of cake! jai.
  3. I don't like hurting them, i don't like wearing gloves and i don't like covering hands in funny stuff - all that does is teach them that your hands are not a pleasant place to be. Time, patience and care and she will come round. It's much better to have a ferret that doesnt bite you cos your her buddy and source of food rather than one that doesnt bite out of fear. atb, hope you get it sorted. Jai.
  4. Mate - you cant reprimand them like dogs, you just have to handle them. Unfortunatly its a bit difficult if no ones put the time in over the last year! But i've seen some horrible like biters turned around by a good feed and plenty of handling. Try some ferretone - their much more interested in eating it than biting you. atb Jai
  5. Nice day out matey, well done. That weird thing could be like when you get twins and one doesn't form and ends up inside the others body . . . . i know humans can get it. Imagine having your wee sis inside your belly. atb Jai.
  6. Folk that wanted photos probably couldn't read. They have in this case however managed to learn how to read bullx and 23 quid .. . . . .
  7. Unless your lamping in oz, the u.s or somewhere else with real big land, why do you need a 4x4? JUst wondered if you genuinely need it or just cant be assed to walk? No offense meant . . . . i just wondered why you (or anyone else on here) feels they need one. To me it doesn't make much sense with the dog, but is a useful tool when lamping to shoot with the rifle. atb Jai.
  8. Warm salty water usually does the trick. Depends how bad it is. atb Jai.
  9. Thats amazing - such a good end to the story!
  10. Birds are singing, flowers blooming, buds on trees and kits in rabbits. Spring is here! (but its started snowing?)
  11. Snares would probably be a good method here. Obviously removed before opening time
  12. Thats a fox ferret. Don't need terriers anymore.
  13. First young today. South Wales. Also had one recovered from mixi. atb jai
  14. Horses for courses . . . . ferrets for . . . .depends what you do. A micro ferret would have a nightmare in some of the sets i do, but in others would be fine. Not sure if it would be any better than a normal small jill tho. You could unleash a horde of micros on a big set and that would probably do the job. Still like to see a picture tho, of hobs and jills.
  15. I understood what you meant. You know your ferrets which is a lot more than can be said for a lot of folk on here.
  16. My guess is that the jills Vulva has started to swell?
  17. Some people are just desperate to kill anything. Maybe it's because they have such a hard time killing things which try and avoid being killed. If i shot thrushes/black birds when out for my evening walk with the 410, i'd have bin liners full! But there would be no point what so ever. I'm not that desperate to kill. One rabbit is a greater feet than 10 song birds. atb Jai.
  18. Just the way i was brought up - Hunt Winter, Fish Summer. Always been that way and always will. However . . . . when summer/winter start/finish seems to be changing so gonna have to think about months. Remember the old 'every month with an R' - def wouldn't ferret in April now (apart from pest control). atb Jai.
  19. She meant small in size - so she wants a small hob and not one of her 'monster' hobs.
  20. Don't think my inbox is full. But my number is 07834859095 - could do with meeting up soon, pref next couple of days. Got some work planned!!!!

  21. They breed all year round when the weather/food allows. i got a few to clean in a min (just got back) and by the feel one of the does has young in her. South Wales.
  22. :notworthy:  :clapper: Well said!
  23. There was a recent post on the ferreting section where a guy was saying that he used a high seat. He was also saying that he was getting frustrated shooting the odd bunny when the ferreters were doing well. Have a look and ask him anyway. It was under something like ferreting season in U.K?
  24. Very well said. The need to kill everything is just a bit desperate (and i'm no anti!) I can happily watch the odd rabbit bounce about the garden without feeling a need to always reach for the gun and yet the same day go and ferret 20 from the farm next door.
  25. Shes a great looking little bitch with intelligent eyes! And those rabbits are fat as butter! atb jai.
