  1. Yer i'd love one if you were this side of the water. Jai.
  2. Really? You don't say? I'm glad someone understands the international language of sarcasm that means 'I don't give a shit what you think' Jai.
  3. your honest account is enough to steer anyone in their right mind to an effective lurcher so you are taking a uneducated guess. educated in catching rabbits with lurchers and i know a big heavy dog like that wont catch many rabbits and youv just confirmed my doubts by saying 3 rabbits out of 50 or was it yee cant really decide.smells like bull mate tbh 23 ,well its true what they say you cant put a old head on young shoulders...the litter sister to the dog had 23 rabbits in hour odd and he only stopped because he couldnt carry them on his own,and the dog has had 20s before i think
  4. Jesus f*cking christ. . . . have you people never heard of sarcasm? Your just embarrassing yourselves. You really think Flint08 would keep the dog on and breed another litter if they were a total waste of time? It's funny Kevin that you are so so keen to comment on something that you have never ever seen or even dreamt existed. I remember people telling me that Saluki's were shit because they were stupid and untrainable. They were wrong. Some are but many many are not. Just like many men could take many malamutes and many greyhounds and breed many litters of shit but one flint08 has taken
  5. Terrible. Is that in your extensive history of working malamute x's? It's funny - i've seen many many useless collie, bull and saluki x's and yet i know they are great x's so often. How many malamute x's you ever seen? Jai.
  6. Ah yes because your mates mums dog is a perfect representation of every malamute and its hunting ability, i forgot that having a friend, who has a mum, who has a breed of dog makes you an expert on that breed of dog . . . . Jai.
  7. Yes i would certainly look to breed for good coats and strong heads but what 'breed' the dog was would not matter. Jai.
  8. Indeed 'tidying' them up to look nice would not cross my mind. And yes Wulf i agree i would want a good working lineage with any dog i picked but all i'm saying is that would come before the breed for me if looking for a dog to put over a bitch. Jai.
  9. in your opinion. You ever brought on and hunted a malamute then? Jai.
  10. Do you guys think that the obsessive breeding of specific 'breeds' of dogs has damaged/weakened the working terrier? For a long time terriers were just small dogs bred to each other for their characteristics and working ability. No one gave a shit if it was a lakeland, patterdale, fell or whatever. The show world started it, with the idea of 'pure breeds' which rendered everything else 'just mongrels'. If i had a say really good working lakeland bitch and wanted to breed her i'd just look for the best terrier i could find- the breed wouldn't come into it at all as what they look like or what n
  11. Hello Matey. Speak to Dan Edwards as no one our side of the pond knows sweet f*ck all about Coyotes. Dan's your man. Jai.
  12. OK, you sound slightly mental but fair play for asking. Bushing for rabbits with a terrier or terriers is really good fun. You can't expect large bags, but you can take a fair few. During the day the rabbits sit out feeding and also sit out in cover passing time. As your terrier hunts over land the rabbits sat out will join the rabbits in cover. Some will go down holes but many will choose to just hide it out in the cover. If you are in an area where there are rabbits and there is a large patch of brambles or any kind of ground cover or a good thick hedge then there is usually always one or tw
  13. Yes but thats the cmw. Look mate stick to bushing in the day. It's a silly idea. I'm not being rude. Jai.
  14. Aye but bad owners make bad dogs. Jai.
  15. To be fair in the grand scheme of what we spend an extra ten quid is nothing. Jai.
  16. Young being born here even with snow on ground in jan/feb Jai.
  17. I asked this before. There is one guy on here somewhere that works a borzoi and takes it ferreting. Seems to do the job for him. Also there is a guy with a borzoi x that looks tidy. atb Jai.
  18. considering flint08 is your relative and you used to lamp with them all the time i'm surprised you've only seen the litter run once. and you'd expect the dog to be watching the beam as they've been out since they could walk. the time is obviously showing in the dogs ability as we all know flint08 could make any dog more then average. for a boy whos only been keeping dogs for 3 years you are a fountain of expert knowledge, who apears to know it all i did wonder my self mate,so all the imformation your have gained about bull x and german sherperd x is not yours but storys you have hear
  19. 100% Grade A dogs. I'd have one in a heart beat and my girlfriend has fallen in love with Bryn after seeing him for about ten minutes. And the impression i get is that Flint08 could indeed make most dogs come good if you gave them to him as a pup. He knows his stuff and is an absolute gentleman. To be honest i hope these dogs don't become popular as it would probably ruin a great thing. atb Jai.
  20. It's best to take them out of season mate. You can use a jill jab which is a cheap injection or a vac hob to take her out. Jai.
  21. Yes mate - total rubbish. Because working deaf ferrets is as easy as pie.
  22. And will produce inferior working stock.
  23. Don't breed them mate. Not fair on the ferrets. Jai.
  24. I've always loved the look of that dog ss. Real credit to you. atb Jai.
