I was just having a flick through this weeks 'Countrymans Embaressment' and got stuck in the classifieds section . . . . . . It's amazing what people will say / sell these days. I just thought i would share some of my favourites!
'Norfolks, Smithfields and Tumblers' - Centuries of selective breeding as stealth poaching dogs ensures they excel at all lurcher work over any ground / Traditionally hidden inside family dwellings, ensures loyal, trainable family pets. Smooth coats cheaper.

He's not that little ferrethopper. And he is a lot more than a rabbit dog, lol.... Ask loftie... There have been quite a few dogs now gone with him to have there first encounters..
ferreter far from it the dog will handle any work put in front of him i'd have him on my yard very tidy animal he's a credit to you russ
you prick you not read what i said, i got a better dog here maybe not better now but in his day unstopable, genuine heartbreak a real beddy grey no beardie in this boy. i'd go as far as saying he was a machine in his day unstopable single handed every time even with an

But first of all you gotta break her to ferrets!
Buy the bats off ebay - i get packs of something like 'Radvac' or something - cheap as and work well (they are watch batteries). One tip - get some tape and tape over the speaker - muffles that annoying beep.
Aye - i get some cash and 'privileges' for doing some bits here and there - not fannying about with a hawk mind (hardly an efficient method) but really hard graft, which is many rabbit related, but my lack of desire to spend my days dealing with wasps, cockroaches etc etc etc and take any kind of training means that i leave the thought of becoming a 'pest control' WELL alone and stick to being a 'warrener' for want of better term. . the only reason that it doesnt get handed out for free is that these folk would rather ONE person who they trust and know from the area on their estates and who ca
He'll make some beer money but not a living like that. To make a living requires training on being a 'complete' pest controller tackling all kinds of species, using poisons etc. If a living could be made taking the odd rabbit or corvid etc then no one on here would do anything else . . . . . .It's too easy to get some one to kill your bunnies for free. . . .. why pay them.
I like anything shortish with an N or CH (Hard sound) at the end for dogs (Finn, Ben, Bracken, Mitch, Stitch) and anything shortish with an s or soft sound for a bitch (moss, jess, Bramble) etc
Awesome pics guy - feel like packing my bags and heading your way. Stitch is a truly great dog and the litter look like lil clones! As for the ditch cougar - if it aint illegal keep it up - no reason to be ashamed in any way, they are a menace to wildlife and need to be kept in check.
Happy Hunting!
Jai.
I'll second the ferretone. Sit down, let them run over our hands and lick some ferretone off them. Also feed them before handling and try to present them the knuckle rather than finger tips.
