    Aye, they wouldn't destroy the kestrels nest either, and instead, let one really common (albeit very nice) wee bird, wipe out a load of extremely rare sea birds, who if ye or me had touched, we would have been "proper f****d".

    I don't have much here of interest to folk, but i'll pay the mrs to do a commissioned painting from a photo of your choice, up to A2 size, Acrylic on Canvas. She's done a few folk on here's lurchers etc. Here's one of hers as an example.

    The Mrs fancied tinkering around with a few bits and bobs for the house, so I got her some interesting bits to see what she could do with them. Disappeared into the garage this morn, and emerged with this, this evening. I thought it was pretty tidy. She's engraved the top with a soldering iron, then varnished it.

    £90 a half pig, aiming to kill it out at a live weight of around 70 kg, so about 30 Kg on a half pig meat weight. Usual joints, chops, belly and a couple of kg of nice sausages (which I pay a bit extra to get made on top of my slaughter and butchery fee). I've not taken many photos of late, as it's been hammering it down all of the time. The pigs are well, and growing. As are the geese, who now have a new paddock. The chickens are doing my head in a bit, but the ducks are grand. We've pretty much decided to leave the chickens as they are, maybe even get rid and get a few more ducks, ma

    Unfortunatly in this country, unusual quarry . . . . i.e not a rabbit or rat would be illegal, unless shot first, Making it tough to show pictures. Best I can do under the circumstances. And yes. . . . the bloody tree rat was shot and retrieved in accordance with the law. Not very exciting, but there you go Not the most unusual quarry we've managed.

    Well, i've decided to sausage a pig . . . . so should be plenty knocking about. I'm half considering, in time, getting hold of a sausage making machine and having a crack at making some weird and wonderful things!

    Ignore all of the shite saying get "xxx" cross and that will be exactly what you need, it's pish. Get a pup out of two dogs doing what you want the pup to do, to a decent standard, and preferably from lines of dogs doing the same. And try to get out and see a few different dogs doing what they do, and see what lights the fire in you. If it was as simple as xyz cross is the one for whatever task . . . . . . we'd all have em.

    To be honest if he is genuine, and what he says is true, 300 is nothing for the black bitch, it'd be a steal. And even 700 quid for the other, if he's bang on the money, plenty of folk spend a lot more than that buying in a few shite dogs that they need to get rid of because they are crap.

    Was at a farm sale the other day, machinery and implements being auctioned off. Took a punt on a few boxes of tools, and got them for 20 quid, saw some old wood working stuff so thought it might have some value. Looked on evil bay, and there are a load of old preston planes and spoke shaves, and vintage hearnshaw bros chisels. Nothing out of this world, but should make a couple of hundred if I flog the bits on evil bay! Get in!
