  1. Someone better . . . it's a hell of a walk.
  2. Aye it's still on, is there anyone popping a long other than EDRD, Joe777, Wales1234567, Johnnyboy68, Tyler, Bitch, UG?? I'll PM you now EDRD, the rest of you lot know where I live.
  3. Well, the saddlback was just chilling in the sun half asleep and the OSB started to grind on him. . . . so I think the OSB is gay and the SB is just lazy.
  4. a nice cool night? Where have you been living recently lol.
  5. I hate to spoil all of the romance. . . . but the spotty one is a four month old male and the saddle back . . . . is his six month male friend
  6. FOD - Of course mate, just taking more time than expected to come to weight Sorry about the delay!
  7. Aye, you know how it is in Wales Socks. Darren - Mixed Hound, Beagle, Teckel, etc. UG - They are here for you mate.
  8. Going Raving mate. . . . She's off to Ibiza.
  9. Yes taxi man . . . . you are right. But it IS quite efficient. And cubs eat same as adults. Mostly its good to leave them get to size and have some fun in winter, but others its better to catch them when they are young and dumb and clear them out.
  10. .... Some foxes are dumb, some are clever. Maybe not dumb, but certainly nieve. But there are defiantly more to go at and they are easier to get for the most part at night with one dog and one man. Obviously with hounds its a bit different, but my favourite is one dog hunting and killing its own fox. Had three run in at once the other night on the lamp, could have kicked them. They don't do that so easy in the day.
  11. Just a thought, if there were not the odd farms over run with game, that did not allow hunting, there would be nothing to populate the ground when you hit it hard in winter.
  12. I need some hardcore for a road. South Wales, near Newport. Trying to get the best price for decent stuff. Any ideas?
  13. Keepitcovert - Very good points mate, I watch my lurcher, and my whippet running, and he has a faster running action, and yet she covers ground quicker. I put it down to stride length, power etc. AAron - I agree that you can't really compare them to a lurcher in many ways, but i've seen plenty of 22" lurchers. Obviously with the right lurcher you will get a lot more stamina, durability etc. But many lurchers have no more than my whippet. He's easily capable of a few nights on the bounce 20-40 runs a night (we don't have enough rabbits local to run more), and I imagine could do a fair bit m
  14. Why would a government sanction anything as messy as hunting them with dogs? When allowing folk to shoot them on the lamp (as the FC do) would be far far far more efficient and cause far less of a stir amongst the general public.
  15. Funnily enough I was just out to the garden to build a catapult capable of firing both the lurcher and whippet at the nearest wall. . . . . .
  16. I don't know if i'm right, I just wouldn't say it was a 'FACT' the other way around
  17. Of course they can't make it legal again - there are far far far far too many morons with lurchers, the countryside would be a very unpleasant place! Sad fact, but true. SO just keep your head down, keep what you do to yourself and close mates (actual ones not imaginary ones you talk to on Facebook), and pray that 90% of the rest of the lurcher owning population get into something else. . . . . and all will be well!
  18. Is there not a more novel way to get folk to incriminate themselves?
  19. Not technically true, a fat b*****d may fall on say their hip and have plenty of padding and so do no damage, where a skinny person may hit their hip bone and damage themselves. I've had my dog take some tumbles, knocks and cuts that I think would have been worse for a finer boned animal, and he isn't the heaviest as it is, being a whippet. And yep Aaron, that was kind of what I meant. Ability to keep going run after run, and also to keep going night after night without losing condition. Seen some smaller, lighter whippets who I doubt could handle four hard nights lamping in a row? Maybe i
