Once upon a time I had a lot to do with various hallucinogenics and psychoactive substances. . . . . including some of the very cutting edge research chemicals, and the shamanic natural ones. Spent a lot of time in some very very strange worlds. . . . . . One thing I will say. . . . . they are unlike any other kind of drug in existence. There are no hard and fast rules. . . . . The experience you get is heavily related to the 'set' (i.e. your mind set, the things that are going on in your head that you probably don't even realise are there) and the 'setting' (the physical setting tha

For Sale 2 Cracking Bull Cross Pups For Sale ......i
Ideation replied to socks's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
There has been some shite talked on this thread. They look like bonny pups. The money paid for them is between the seller and the buyer. . . . . its got bugger all to do with anyone else. So if you're not selling them and you don't want to buy one, I can't see how it'd bother you. -
Thank you very much for the offers. . . . . Ideally somewhere vaguely near South Wales. But i'll keep it in mind Dido. I wonder if royal mail could get them here lol.

Hello All, Just a quick call for help! I've promised to do a game cooking thing next Tuesday with a group of kids. They want to do pigeons and rabbits. I've got the rabbits sorted, but having no joy with the pigeons. Does anyone have any fresh or frozen ones I can buy off them? Only need a small number. I.E half a dozen. Cheers! J.

Hello! I'm in desperate need of some pigeons! I've promised to do some game cooking with a group of kids next Tuesday, but am flat out at the moment and don't have a chance to get out and shoot any pigeons for it (have the rabbits). I don't suppose anyone in the South Wales area has a few I could have / buy off them? Only need a small number, can be fresh or frozen as long as ok for human consumption. Would be great if anyone could help! Thanks in advance! J.

One bowl of food. Not really that surprising she won't eat. . . . . . she may well see it as the bitches food. Make her up a little bowl of special bits and bobs and get her off on her own with it and let her have a munch, she will soon come round.

Dear Tit Head, One obvious point. . . . if its so wonderful (which it is) and has been so for 500 years (which it has). . . . . . . then hunting foxes obviously hasn't changed that . . . . . for ummmm 500 years. SO seemingly going back to hunting them, isn't going to make it any less wonderful? You sir are a tit. And you don't understand the difference between 'conservation' and 'preservation' (the first means its ok to kill things, the second doesn't and is for morons). Now kindly go and play with traffic. Your sincerely, Me.

I only come on here to make myself feel better. . . . . . . . . no offence but thats what it seems like most of the time . you sti

SP - They have a higher catch rate in the open, than in the woods. So I guess so. I wasn't looking for an argument though. M - Not even sure I understand your point. . . . . who said anything about being 'dross bred'. I just don't think you can say if you get a dog with x% this and y% that, it will defiantly be the best choice for a particular quarry . . . . . if a dog is a good dog, and from a line of good dogs, and it does the job, what exactly is in it, is not the most important thing in the world. And yes, running flat out in the woods is a bad idea. . . . hence the tough and smart

Without meaning to be a dick. . . . the big bad boar isn't going to hunt the dogs down if they decide to jib. . . . it will just bugger off into another corner. And yes. . . . anything trapped in a pen, rather than in the wild, will be easier to hunt. It's not a long way from baiting in my eyes. . . . ok for training dogs maybe, but other than that fairly pointless. As for dog fighting . . . . . . couldn't give a rats arse really, not my cup of tea. . . . . . Hunting is something you do to a wild animal in my eyes, preferably on its home turf.

I just stopped hunting stuff she had to retrieve lol. No one a serious note, she is fine if i'm on my own, terrible if anyone else is there! Thanks for the kind words!

Boris. An old man now.

She has been a good little hound for me mate. Wouldn't suit a lot of people, and there would be better dogs for some jobs. But for what I do, she does the trick. Also she is a proper little character with a voice far bigger than her stature. Boris is good with people, but he doesn't like dogs very much. He's ok to gather in with the collie, but in a pen he just thinks 'f**k you' and batters the shit out of any dog that comes near. Mind you, i've a few ewes that are a bit sharp with their lambs about.

Bring that son of yours down again, and we can throw him in with boris. My money is on the kid! I think he preferred the duck though lol.

The last pic? Black and tan? She is 3/4 beagle, 1/8 teckle, 1/16 cocker and 1/16 russel. Funnily enough she did spend a small period of time moon lighting as a collie and helping me round up sheep. Not her natural forte, but she IS quite handy in the pens, pushing them a long a race. If only I could teach her to bay on command, she would be a true multi purpose farm dog! You can see a better photo here - http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/344323-some-recent-photos-of-the-bitches/

We find the greatest issue is scraggy funny coloured hill sheep, that get flushed from cover under the dogs nose, often mostly unsighted. The dog often gives chase before realising what it is, and then has to pull up.
