Seen a hell of a lot worse accidental matings. . . . those pups look cracking!
-
As far as i'm aware . . . . yes!
-
What TJ said. But one day it will just be fact. . . . . once man has finished raping it. . . . . and has got more efficient at doing so . . . . there will be no rabbits anywhere lol.

Cheers lads! The shirt was once blue, now its claret.

Yer I could tell you thought I was being a fanny at first Telling me to just staple it Vets did multiple levels of stitching, to get all of the muscle etc back in order, and had to cut a fair bit of tissue away where it had been badly damaged. Oh and she gouged a good chunk out of herself. . . . . . i'm not sure how many stitches she has had, but its lots. I knew it was bad when I could get all four fingers inside her past the knuckle!!! If you think she was wagging her tail like mad and going nuts when the hound was baying. . . . . she could hardly step over the doorstep when I go

Aye, i'll stick by my dogs through thick and thin. This bitch is only two and a bit (or is it three and a bit?) but has grafted hard for me, given me lots of sport and fed me well. She has earned her place here, no matter what. If nothing else, she will make one hell of a guard dog!

Cheers all.Its appreciated Wales1234567 - Yes, you are indeed right, thats lurcher work for you. Just a pain in the arse and shitty timing! Poor bitch is sore as hell, but at least she's curled up next to me on the sofa now. She will probably quite enjoy being in the house for a while. Considering the hole in her, I am amazed how well she shook it off when it happened.

Fingers crossed! I'll also say now, I'm extremely lucky to have some very good mates, and have already been offered two young dogs to run over the next couple of months, whilst my own running dogs are in sick bay.

It is indeed. And both the ground and the quarry are rather unforgiving here. To be honest it was only a matter of time until it happened. Cheers, I really hope she makes a speedy recovery to. . . . she is one hell of a tough dog. She stood there earlier, covered in blood, with a gaping chest wound, muscle split open to the bone. . . . and was wagging her tail furiously and keen to get back into the action. . . . .

Some of you may have seen that my old dog is now out of action for a while, possibly forever due to an accident he had recently while working, and some complications that followed it. Well as they say "it never rains but it pours". Was out at first light this morning with my young bitch Bree and the rest of the team. Long story short. . . . after a very good start to the hunt, her drive and do or die nature, resulted in a chest wound the size of my fist. . . . . flesh and muscle ripped and punctured, pretty much to the bone. With the blood flow being stemmed by my shirt, she was in the vet

I was just waiting for the guy to go mental and pull him out of the car and beat him senseless with his helmet I do like the way the big man said his threats with a woman in between. . . . . . .and never got out of the car. FairPlay to the guy on the moped he was hysterical!

not many people prepared to kill over a fight though jai, and what if you missed lol your f****d then lol atb AT No I accept that. But if people make a habit of running about in life, offering out everyone who crosses their path and does something they don't like. . . . sooner or later they will quite probably pick the wrong person and in todays sad world, a lot more people than we'd like to think are very much prepared to kill (or seriously maim) someone over a fight. Luckily i'm an anti social pacifist, so I don't tend to get myself in these kind of situations. There are not man

I think that was the make up bird, and a few other bits. I'm happy with the size, shape and form of my bitch and would take a few of her. The biggest shame is the loss of her two siblings which I had the pleasure to see work, and would very much have liked to acquire. Unfortunatly they went to another home and ended up dead. The only change I would like to make to my bitch is hard to describe. She hunts because she loves to hunt a scent, so if something has been risen and is running, she will follow its line, screaming away, but what she doenst do very well, is lift her head and run on

Hysterical. Guys an utter moron, who thinks beating up the odd person makes him 'someone'. Who gives a shit, as hard as you may be, a 12g slug to the chest would stop anyone. . . . . . maybe something folk should think about before giving it the 'big I am' to strangers.

Only took 65 posts before we had the suggestion of a 'meet up'. . . . . five pages in and all of the makings of classic THL bullshit.

Its just a genetic mutation. If you look at a rabbits coat (agouti) you will see its made of many colours, including black, white, blue, sandy etc. All the coloured rabbits are, are a genetic mutation favouring one of these colours across the whole coat. Thats where the many colours in pet rabbits came from. . . . . if it want in them already you couldn't breed it in. Ive had blacks, whites, blues, gingers, and all kinds of spots, half coloureds etc etc. This has been done to death on here, and always the same daft answers.

Only on 'The Hunting Life' could a post saying a guy was pleased with a collar someone sent him for free, turn into pages of argument. I mean really? Does it bother folk that much? I used to get wound up by all of the idiots on here, but fecking hell, lifes just too short. "No honey I'm not coming to bed . . . . . someone on the internet is wrong!". Just chill out guys, and go and clobber some innocent wee animal or other

I now have space mate!

There are a lot of absolute shite welsh sheepdogs out there, a lot of real crap. However, good ones can be very good, hard and independent. Saw a very good litter of pups yesterday. Sire and dam both working cattle and big mobs of sheep. Not read the article, but most of the welsh types I've seen have worked very similar to a collie, only more direct and harder on the sheep at times. My bitch is just a plain old collie. She will turn a good sized ewe by over taking it, jumping in its path and grabbing it by throat / shoulder briefly. The old dog I used, could be sent to single out and pul

Mate just bred a litter, dam beagle, sire, digging beddy.
-
Too much hound for what I want I think. . . . . I also happen to be very friendly with the huntsman of a very good pack of harriers. . . . . Also have the option of an outstanding beagle.
-
No, unfortunately not. The dam is still alive, not sure on the sire. I know the grandsire got KIA, as did a number of her litter mates. I believe there is one pup from the litter her brother sired alive and well also. She's getting kind of limited edition. . . . . There have been a couple of other interesting breedings here recently. . . teckel x teckel, beddy x beagle and I believe that we may have a beagle x lakeland pup joining the gang sometime soon.

Mark Brick could catch rabbits in space. . . . .
-

However fast you do it. . . . Mark Brick will have done it a couple of mins faster
