L887 - What kind of posh? Dytkos - Nice. SHH - What if you have perm? Is it hard to get perm?

Then Ian is doing a massive disservice to lurcher owners and the members of this site ... Without all the members he wouldn't earn the coin he does from THL ........how is he? Keepong all posts withing the law? He's doing us all a favour by stopping poor representation. All you have to do is show a gun or a bop amd you can post the photos Read my original post slowly you cannot always get a picture of the dog and animal and man with the gun in the same frame ... And I don't need anybody doing me any favours regarding my hunting thank you ... FFS it's like the backbone has gone out of hunting .

As my mum used to say. . . . . . lives not fair, get over it.

How would they go about finding your adress over this? With a phone not being registered to ones self ? Is that a serious question? They are smarter than we'd like to think. So tell me If you are using a phone to access this site, it is more than likely a smart phone. If you have one of those, they can link that to wherever you are. Co-incidentally if they really want to, they can turn on the phones mic, even if the phone is switched off. . . and listen to what is going on / being said in the immediate area. If you want a 'safe' hunting phone, get an old Nokia

Tags make a lot of sense! Or something writen / sown onto the collar. I just managed to intercept my bitch on route to fecking Manchester a while back. Out in the woods and she was on the way back from a run, bumped into a couple, who grabbed her assuming she was lost. . . . . they were going to take her home to their local vets (in Manchester) as they were on holiday. . . . . . I may have been lucky and got a call and had to go collect her. . . . . or maybe not. If shed had a tag on, they would have rung me. Luckily I got to the car park before they did. As for folk saying OH NO.

Nonsense. How can a photo tell how an animal was killed? I could take photos of my dogs with road kill deer and plaster them all over the net. They couldn't do a bean. Apart from smash through your door and pull your house and kennels apart looking for 'proof' of wrong doing. Worse than that, wankers that they are, they could probably have your dogs taken until things were 'clarified',. . . . .and we all know what happens when they RSPCA have your dogs even under false pretences. Lets not bull shit ladies and gents, a lot of us do some ever so slightly naughty things. .

It's a sad sad world mate.

Paul - It wasn't meant to be a personal dig mate. . .. look at what I have written. I don't think all travellers are in any way bad folk, I've had a lot lot more wrong done to me by regular folk. All i'm saying is what I've heard, that a lot of farmers think they get a lot of grief from some of the travelling folk out coursing etc, in that part of the world, and they feel that the police are not up for going into these sites. . . . . I don't live there, I'm just going on what these farmers are saying, having to go out chasing folk around their newly drilled crops. SO what I was sugge

Funny that, ive got shit loads of land with hares on which if i remember right you had a night on some it by back of mine. You know my background. Do i fit that stereo type ????? You know the caliber of the estate he took you on. It aint all travellers its a small minority but like you said tar with the same brush!!!!!!!!! SOME That word doesn't mean all. There are a lot of wankers in all walks of life, but travellers and hare coursing do kind of go hand in hand. The folk I have been speaking to are in places like Essex where I am told there are some very large sites? I don'

Further Update On New Lurcher Association
Ideation replied to Dewclaw69's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
edited to add, a bit rich that, given all the links you have put up on here to your site and FB page.......... No malice was intended, the web page designer ( if thats the correct word ) is not a member on here, So I am asking formally would You like, or Ian b like a link to the awl page? maybe the correct thing to do, would have been to contact this sites owner prior to posting links to your own sites or any others If both clubs are working in the interest of lurchers why should there be a problem......or this one if them "us and them" type things? wow my heads mashed with all chatter, -

On a different but related note, my favourite is when you are lamping rabbits and the dog lifts its head and takes a big lung full of air.. . . . . . after which is promptly ignores what you put in the beam and stares intently into the darkness. . . . . . . . usually the best bet is slip the dog, count a few seconds and light up where she's heading!

I do believe she did.

Lee - Empty mate! Chid - Thats a cracking looking pup. Nice deep chest. Somewhereyourenot - I think the answer lies in their intelligence. My little bitch will work sheep ALL day if you let her, she lives for it. However, she doesn't often have to try something many times and fail, before either taking a different approach or deciding its a dumb idea. Having said that she is a stubborn little bugger and will go looking for work on her own if you let her which is annoying! She hasn't learnt that not EVERY sheep in wales needs bringing to me! Interestingly all that a collie is doing whe

Some great photos, ones to look back on. Gaz - she's growing up fast mate.

I do really like the collie x's, including the heavily saturated ones. I really like pure collies to be fair! But for me work wise, I think that a collie blooded lurcher with a few other bits in the mix, suits me more. I've noticed that heavily collie blooded lurchers have become 'in' over the last few years. Possibly due to the ban and people being more covert??? Or is it just because there have been a few that have become internet celebrities and folk like buying into legends?

What exactly IS the question???

It probably was mate.....

Adult terrier advertised on Dragon Driving . . . . . . . i'd have my suspicions!

Who'd you work for. . . . the daily mail? Why is EVERYTHING a potential child killer Well done Lee. . . . nice to see!

Recently I've been spending a lot of time talking to farmers about hare coursing. Given what they have to deal with on a regular basis from some of the travellers. . . . . It's no wonder they hate hare coursers. They also hate the fact that the police do bugger all about it! Soooo . . . . . . when the police get a chance to jump on some normal, easy to arrest, run of the mill bloke. . . . . they are all over it like a rash! But to be honest, if so many of the people coursing with running dogs are going to act like total wankers. . . . . . its no wonder we are all demon

It's a pup. . . . . . So. . . . be careful with the quad play, both over doing it and flattening the dog (the latter especially when its wet and stopping distance is increased). Don't worry about the ragging, or the fox smell obsession, it's all new. But maybe do some work on retrieving etc before flat out chasing and catching / killing games.
