This is a good thread! I love to read the progress of a new bird. Teal is a good size too, especially as he is still so young. Cant wait to see some pics. Best wishes, Dave
  2. I can only commend your approach to falconry, and agree with previous posts offering advice. Try looking at specefic falconry forums, they can sometimes be bitchy but if you overcome that, they can offer a wealth of information. The word mentor can be confusing. I have been lucky enough to be involved in falconry for 20 odd years, and consider myself experienced. I consider all who offer advice to be mentors, because believe me, somethings still confuse the hell out of me even now. My advice to you would be to join the international falconry forum and download the beginners starter pack fr

Cracking looking male Kev2560, its nice to see a bird punching above his weight like that. Just a quick question, and I dont want to seem condescending, but why two bells beastmaster? Cracking looking female by the way. My male is 18 weeks old and flying full length of creance at 1lb 8oz. Am planning his first free flight today and to enter next weekend. Only took 8 days to get him going from the aviary. Best wishes and keep the kills coming. Dave
  4. Hello all, My name is Dave and I am from Gloucestershire. I am an experienced falconer and am at present flying a male harris, a female saker, and a barn owl. I am just writing to introduce myself and offer my services for advice etc. I am an experienced mentor in falconry circles, and would welcome members to pick my brains. I am hoping to contribute positively on this forum, and look forward to meeting fellow members. Best wishes, Dave
