sony alpha 450 slr not a bad camera, 14.2 MP, will take 7 pictures in a sec so can get some great action shots

Ha i wish, no mate he's 2 and a 1/2 and just won't retrieve all the way in daylight, grate on the lamp though, straight back and no nonsense. He gets very aggressive when any dog gets near his catch. Turkish

went to work and then got sent home because i'm still ill, was going mad sat at home so took the dog out for a quick mooch. but a problem i have with him is he will not retrieve to hand if there is another dog with us (my parents lab) which is what he is looking at in the second from last picture.

24tts might be small for a greyhound but that's far too big to be classed as a true whippet, 22tts is close though.

Is this what your after? Turkish -
well i'm very happy with mine. I have also seen some really soft whippets but its the owner being soft with it because they think it can't take the cold or wet, I never let mine get away with being a p**sy and now he just gets on with it. Its always the owner. Turkish

He's a typical whippet, very good acceleration, unbeatable turning. He's only 20inch tts so top end isn't the greatest but still enough to catch. On the lamp, has frown him self under fences after rabbits, gone flat out into an oak. Got a very good prey drive. Bit too much really have to be very careful where I run him now keep looking for any thing he is going to chase a rabbit into. Turkish

Cheers lads, he's straight whippet, he comes out with me when riding so has to keep up with my ex-racer, keeps him good and fit. This was his 1st proper season, but he has been a demon on the rabbits. He retrieved a few shot fox when pared up with a bull cross a lad i know has. Didn't give him too much of the charlies as don't want to push him too soon and put him off. o yeah the camera is a Sony alpha 450, had a 55-200mm lens on. Turkish

My whippets sire was a none chaser and mine has turned out a good worker. Just came natural to him, after the 1st rabbit bolted from next to my feet on a walk its like a switch had been turned on and he was off. And he has turned out to have better instincts for it that some lads worker to worker lurchers. just from personal experience and opinion, but like every one on this site i think i have a good dog. turkish
