Stopping A Dog Speaking When It Finds Game
lee-kinsman replied to Jack.308's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
Its an inherent fault and often nothing can be done no matter what howver If you don't catch it right the first time it might cure it but since thats been and gone there's nothing you can do but live with it. -

Working For Peregrine Falcon Breeder First Time Round Falcons
lee-kinsman replied to matt32's topic in Falconry
If you get gripped just relax, you'll have to wait for it to let go. Don't stroke them when they have their hoods on and expect to get gripped, bitten and bloodied occasionally. -
I've always used maggots or casters.

I feed Autarky chicken, raw tripe, roast rabbit, that's about it.

Sounds like a good plan. We shoot ours every other week so we don't over do it. I know you'll get mixed opinions on here as some don't understand self control and moderation. It's your shoot at the end of the day so whatever you do I hope you enjoy it. Best regards, Lee

Sounds good, hope you have a plenty enough to start shooting.

Best Colour For A First Training Dummy
lee-kinsman replied to Big bald beautiful's topic in Gundogs & Retrievers
Start with green and stick to it that way the dog doesn't start using its eyes more than its nose. -
I've been out on this punt set up and it's a serious setup.

For sale is my CZ it is in as new condition, the bluing and stock are perfect, the barrel is 22 inch long, the stock is fitted with sling swivels, it has a parker hale silencer and 5 shot mag, the rifle has fired 1000 rounds. The rifle is very accurate, a steady hand will head shoot rabbits at yds everytime. The rifle is fitted with a pair of 3-9x40 Venom scopes with front parralax adjustment. These have been on the rifle since I bought it from new. I bought some Hawke reflex 3-9x50 to put on it but never got round to it. These are brand new. You can either have the scopes that are fitted

There are a few spaces available on the following dates for the duck shoot that my dad and I manage in Lancashire. The birds are totally wild, but the flashes are fed on a daily basis from July. The location of the shoot has stunning scenary so there is even something for the bad shots to appreciate. You can expect an average mixed bird count of 100-150 and on the really wet and windy days this will multiply several times. The cost per gun is £75 for the mallard, teal and snipe flights which will take place in the afternoon to early evening. Woodcock is an additional £50. Trained dogs are

CZ452/453 WMR/HMR 10 Shot Mag 'AS NEW'
lee-kinsman replied to lee-kinsman's topic in Optics and Night Vision
Yes I'd have accepted £30 for 1 -
I bought a CZ 452 .17HMR two 5 shot mags and two 10 shot mags. I literally have only used the 10 shot mags once because I only need to use the 5 shot mags. The novelty of having a pocket full of mags has worn off These mags are interchangeable for use in the .17HMR and the .22WMR and suitable for the CZ 452 and 453 model. I'm looking for £35 each posted or £60 for both. Thank you, Lee

Mixy Rabbits
lee-kinsman replied to Whitby_Sam's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
No it isn't - brought over from South America where its found in the Brazilian Cottontail. For them it is really just a minor irritation, fatal to european rabbits (orytolagus corniculus). D. Erm, yes it is, www.myxomatosis.org.uk -
Mixy Rabbits
lee-kinsman replied to Whitby_Sam's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Best thing to do is dig a 3-4ft hole away from the abit population and put all the shot mixy bunnies in the whole, don't pass them on to other farms for traps! Mixy is passed on by fleas. It is a manufactured disease specifically for preganant female (Doe's) rabbits. The fleas will start to leave the dead rabbit 10 mins after it's died because the blood is no longer good for the flea to feed on. Burry all mixy bunnies don't pass mixy bunnies onto other land you will spread the infection.
