  1. yeah well we have just seen the results of your lamping that big bitch of yours stood on that little fox cub and killed it by accident, your the clown bonny lad, takes nowt to kill milky does and baby foxes. the only time you go lamping is on the way to the spar shop for your white star and rizlas.
  2. Salukis are ok but they dont go with my shell suit and Nikes, got to have a bit of bull in em
  3. isnt it the way of the true hunter to be a part of nature? i know you were writing tongue in cheek but i know myself and im betting more than a few blokes on here have just sat and breathed in the beauty of nature. sat behind a wall or propped up by a tree and just listening and watching how busy even the quietest moment is. We all lead busy lives with the usual money worries and the wrangles of personal relationships, sometimes just sometimes we need to sit and let the true beauty of our surroundings wash over us it heals the soul brother it definately heals the soul. Regards Keith
  4. Keep away Gary if its her first litter especially, good luck with them mate
  5. Might as well sit in the car gary until she is finished , you should get yourself one of those brain trainer game boy things, looks like your redundant well done Shannon rifle shooting is much more fun than make up and boys
  6. Its not the sort of dog i like but good luck with it if you dont sell it
  7. i have 2 dogs and 2 bitches that are regularly kenneled together and never had anything approaching serious happen.....touch wood. about 20 years ago i kenneled 2 bitches one a 3/4 colliegrey and the other a 6 month old english bull there was no death but it was gruesome the lurcher was mangled. The pack structure is fluid so i guess you never know
  8. im only going if the weather is good my missus doesnt do bad weather, never been to this one but we have friends who camp there for the two days they love it.
  9. she is a hedge hitter, since that little cut we have had a couple of barbed wire incidents,££s and stitches, im hoping she learns to avoid anymore obstacles.
  10. my little rabbit dog maggie just coming up a year old and was out a few times at the back end of the season coming on very nicely,
  11. i do all of the above and mine still chews as soon as your backs turned, all dogs chew a bit as they mature they come out of it but this little kelpie x grew is mental. im hoping when she has her first season she steadys a bit
  12. i took my pup out 4 times before i ended my season, look up the threads maybe they will be of some use.
  13. just wondered if it was any good went to a couple last year and they were rubbish namely Raby castle and the one in harrogate.
  14. Nowt wrong with hancocks stuff ive seen a fair bit of it work up here and almost got one myself before i got my maggie. tidy set up you have there mate i hope that big pie muncher bites hard, it will keep the dog thieves at bay, i made an indoor kennel/dog room just to keep the twats away its part of a big garage/workshop on the house it has heating and sink and hot and cold water, its even got a food prep bench and alarm system, its a doggy ritz. on the subject of colour affecting performance......its a no brainer enjoy your little dog put the work in and fetch the best out
  15. i worked in Riyadh zoo in Saudi and there was a pack of dingos there.i always thought they would make a helluva lurcher x. they would have chewed your arm off if you tried to get amongst them but they can be domesticated so i am led to beleive
  16. is he a hancock dog mate? nothing against hancock or his dogs but he looks the type, i do like the collie lurchers always had them always will
  17. he isnt allowed to take photos of your vehicle, plus if you felt threatened you could call the police to straighten it out. even a yorkie will chase a rabbit. No crime there. you could and you have every right to make an example of this clown. i would have tended to be a bit spiteful but then again im not a little kid and im angry most of the time.
  18. The only windage i know about is the after affects of beans
  19. Excellent reply pinnacle, and all credit to you for sticking at it. i hope you get many years of enjoyment from her.
  20. Sean she is still a baby mate let her grow up and develop the muscle and maturity to deal with the rabbits, rabbits arent an easy prey for young dogs to deal with, so give it time plenty of good feeding get her training started train her like a springer get her retrieving and the basic commands should be instilled in her. you will build a good bond and get the muscle on her over the next season. Her first true working season will be 2010/2011 take deep breaths and take your time Goodluck
  21. The only experience i have of pure bred salukis is the lads next door, he does nothing with them bar breed them and sell them in the countrymans weekly. they occasionally get a walk all on extenda leads they are unsociable and spend most of the day barking in a kennel, This is just poor stockmanship! We have a saluki x grey x saluki x grey ad infinitum (My sons dog). he is a dog who could have had more early work done with him but he was taught nowt but the usual tool box dog stuff the lamp and ferreting my lad didnt teach him to retrieve or work on his obedience so the result is a dog he
  22. lovely pups babe but i wouldnt have the messy little buggers within ten yards of your clean floors
  23. Thanks vanquo he is my sons dog and does everything asked of him in a saluki sort of way. he is a lovely natured dog but he isnt my type as i do a lot of ferreting and in my opinion he needs ten acres to get started. the little pocket rocket is my lurcher she tortures the saluki over any distance and she has brains
  24. mate i wouldnt even let him see a gun until he is rock steady, you need the basics obedience wise or its a lost cause with spaniels (they are really terriers in disguise ) i would get acces to a rabbit pen as well if you can for when he is about a year old just to get him steady, in his second year only work him with a steady dog. all the best he is a lovely pup
  25. all of mine have them but if i had a litter i would have them off, touch wood i dont seem to get ant dew claw problems (Barbed wire is another issue)
