just got in from a nice walk with the dogs that ended up in an argument. walked along a river its a very public area and has big fields and little patches of trees everywhere so you can only see so far. i took the four dogs with me including Maggie who is a bit antisocial with strangers both dog and people more out of nervousness. anyway coming over the big fields the dogs are running a fair distance off hunting these little patches of rough for the very few rabbits that are about, when i see a grey haired person just crossing a bridge between the trees and the fields, so as im fairly bright i
interesting cross that i would love to see how it turns out, i like the little rabbit dogs. good luck with it and get the training in early cos terriers are little b*****ds if you dont get the obedience right from the puppy age, just make it fun.
keep in touch

my little bitch does this as well but only towards the other dogs, its a loud clacking, she is a nervous dog and does tend towards nervous agression towards starngers both canine and human.
i havent a clue why she does it but she doesnt follow up by biting i think she just gets over excited and its a warning towards other dogs telling them she has teeth. she is a kelpie x and she is hyper active and can get really wound up.
as long as your dog doesnt follow up with biting then i think its relatively harmless behaviour
i was going to comment on the amount of guns you go through bonny lad then i realised i was just being jealous
my lads a left handed geek what gas gun would you reccomend in 22 calibre for bunny bashing? around about £500 budget,
depends what you want from your dogs ive seen a few hancock dogs around here and they were good all rounders. the collie hybrids are good dogs and a lot depends on how you bring them on.
Do what you feel is right and enjoy your dog
best working dog was a jack russel called snoopy, used her as a shooting companion. fantastic little worker.
best dog has got to be big bob my labradoodle, genuine dog who is almost human a very clever dog,I would have loved to put him too Hannahs dalmation x beardie wonder dog but she has been spayed,
my little lurcher maggie has yet to start working properly but she has loads of potential so fingers crossed
I work my dogs a lot Hannah wether its hunting, obedience or more recently agility i dont claim to be a super dog man or anything like it but all of the dogs i own and have fostered and rescued for the society we are a part of go through basic obedience training and socialisation work, and the saluki is just different to every other dog ive worked with. ive heard of very well trained salukis but as yet ive never come across one and im not saying they arent out there but as a breed they need to be understood and the training adjusted accordingly to get the best out of them. not an easy dog for
just been out bushing with the dogs this morning and the saluki x was the only one who found and chased on ground the other dogs had worked previously, so they arent stupid and like i said he is a real gent with kids and in the house, he loves a cuddle but he is vague and not very responsive he is more instinctual just a pure hunter.i guess im an add on to him he will do what he will do if im there all well and good but if not he isnt bothered.
Where as the collie xs ive had im the centre of their world and they watch me for guidance and are really quick at doing what i want done.
i su
Beautiful spot and great write up and pictures as usual mate
its great fun shooting rats when i had an allotment my lad spent one evening on my neighbours plot shooting mice and rats that were plaguing his big hen run, he shot two young rats and fifty mice in a couple of hours
Saluki blooded dogs, ive got one and he is a nice dog and useful but the kelpie x is a genius compared to him.
if you want a handsome dog that can run all day but is a bit weird in the head then the saluki x is ideal
kelpie x grew hard as nails, would rather lie on the lawn than come in the house. she was swimming in the river this morning she never stops running full on little twat.
Every one up here is fine mate thanks, just the usual not enough money and too much work,,,,,i sometimes wish i had been born rich instead of good looking!
family comes first bud thats the truth, i did the same years ago when i went to Saudi. hopefully when the time is right you might get back into it.

A big stocky jack russel bitch called snoopy, best bushing dog ive ever owned, she was that quick through cover she would often catch the rabbits when she did this you had to be quick as she would eat them. I shot loads of game over her. she was phsyco though with dogs cats people and if she got bored livestock. not a very balanced dog but a helluva hunter
You know your stuff lads i honestly have a lot to learn about air gunning, its funny but when i had shotguns for years i used to look down on this sport as just kids playing around. have i had my eyes opened.
great write up
