  1. They cant hold the big striker properly but they are better with the smaller blitz spot on little dogs pure grafters, every one ive seen has done rabbits on the lamp very well but it depends what your after and the ground you run
  2. eco no need for all that anger mate im not sure plummer would have minded that much would he?? i only met him once he seemed a bit of a prick but i still bought his books. who is to say what the ultimate hunting dog is? its a game terrier to a game terrier and a fast lurcher to a brainy lurcher, we all hope to get it right and just sometimes we do. if your dogs are as scrappy as you put me down for a pup
  3. a old man wearing leather lederhosen reading gay porn having a wank, with an artillery shell up his arse. it was near royal troon golf course. he was arrested shortly afterwards. seemingly over many years he had worked up from a 177 pellet to a 50 cal and then finally onto a comfortable mortar round. The top bits true the bottom bit is from my own experience
  4. ive seen both saluki x and collie x and irish wolfhounds sometimes with dew claws on the back legs and i once met a man with six fingers on each hand and a girl with a third nipple (Not in the same place or day)and if you stay on here long enough you will meet a few dick heads. but as whippet x grey said if your going to run the dog get a vet to remove them or tape them up as they will probably end up caught knocked split bruised or all of the above. god luck with it
  5. Rabbits will carry young all year round if the weather is ok

  6. I have two lurchers aged 3 years old and 14 months who just arent interested in running the lure at shows etc, both are game dogs who work well (The pup is still being entered). this lack of interest does not obviously affect their working ability or prey drive on live game. in the case of the pup she is a bright dog and seems to have it sussed that its not real without trying, and the saluki x had a couple of gos at it and decided to pack in as it was just a bag. is it mainly strongly whippet/greyhound blooded dogs that run the lures or do the bitza lurchers run it as well? im no
  7. i could do without it bendrover me and the missus are away for a few days hols and all this has not made my day
  8. A bit fat arent they, looks like the only thing they catch is pies well you were waiting for it nice dogs i like the middle dog and the little bitch they look useful
  9. i know what you mean foxy the hedges cut, the car dropped off in the garage, the dog at the vets, the hanging baskets and wall baskets planted, the front garden planted, lunches made for kids, just finished planting in time to do tea. going shooting tonight then the ironing when i get in whilst watching john wayne in hondo

  10. i hope not jenksi, we are going shooting tonight clearing some land for a farmer i could end up perforated
  11. Salukis xs are ok but i dont find them useful enough, too slow in little fields and too much aloofness for my liking, they do make a lovely house dog and are very handsome and if you have a cabriolet sports car there ears blow lovely in the wind fair dos though he does catch and often, and useful on the lamp. he has his forever home with us so i dont really care
  12. The lad took mags out this morning she was bushing around some gorse and we dont know wether she didnt see the wire or it was covered partially by long grass but the end result was the same, two tears one of which i could put my hand in . She is the only dog out of my four not insured and i could have sworn i insured her after the last tear but seemingly not deep f*****g joy top it off got a garage bill for £650 + vat for a new abs unit for the motor im going to have to hide from the baliffs this month
  13. Might have a chance of this gun is it any good for rabbit hunting? anybody use one?any problems with it?
  14. mine swim all year round its a bloody nuisance they are up to the eyes every morning, i get soaked with dogs shaking and running past me. the car smells i have to wash their bedding more frequently etc etc. yes i am a grumpy old man. i encourage it really and it does them the world of good
  15. lads even i take a good picture and im a right ugly get. she has changed a bit from that picture. i will need to get some more pictures took. to be honest im a bit worried about her she has become really thin, she is fit and healthy and eats the same size meal as the big dogs. she hasnt got worms and her coats still shiny she looks and acts fit but her hip bones are prominent and you can see every rib. all i can put it down to is that she is on the go all of the time and when out for a walk she is running constantly and i mean running she wears the big dogs out and on a flat out gallop she leav
  16. very bonny quality pups and at that money i think they are reasonable they look well bred and in spot on health and no i dont know this lad or his dogs, just good typey stock
  17. most whippet greys are dynamite very fast and very handy with rabbit and in the past hare and fox. you will get people talking about foot problems and shivering in the cold and skin tears and some of this is founded in truth but good dogs on the lamp and for ferreting on reasonable ground. i personally prefer a bit more brains so i would normally choose a pup with a bit of collie or bedlington but as always its horses for courses and a good whippet grey is an absolute flying machine and usually very pretty to look at
  18. heres another one kelpie x grew 12 months old now and taking after the grew in build with flappy lugs and a squarish head not pretty but very intelligent highly strung and very quick.
  19. Mate 11 fox with one dog in one night JOG ON as they say You've just fell for his little game, read things all the way through He'll be wanking himself daft noo No mate in the words of the late great 2Good it was a feat completed in 1746 by a bullx known as bigdogscock, the above mentioned dog was a spanielx bulldoggex whippet x greyhound x arabian village dog, he was found washed up on the banks of the river tees one cold lonely night in august. his finder was a snot rag collector from G town who took the poor mutt in and fed him the usual smoggy diet of rats tails and chick
  20. I bought my air rifle because i didnt want to have the responsibility of using a rim fire or centrefire as these are small fields i shoot in and the thought of a potential ricochet scares me to death. however what difference does it make getting my air rifle up to 15ft/lbs (done Professionally)will it mean i can shoot at further distance? will it affect the accuracy? how far will the pellet travel from a ricochet? is it worth the hassle of applying for a fac? I know you lads are techno bods with the answers so lets have your thoughts please
  21. Just bought this old gun for my lad its seen better days who do i go to in the north east to bring it up to full power probably need a spring and seals etc?
