  3. WAS ORIGINALLY ASKING ABOUT VARIATION IN SIZE BUT SOME INTERESTING REPLIES AND THOUGHTS ON SALUKIS. Has any one read that saluki book and if so how good is it ? As for the Doberman colours I believe a black greyhound was used in the original production. Isnt black a dominant colour ,also it would depend on what they were crossed with.
  4. looked at that book a couple of times, well the advert lol. Don't suppose anyone would be reprinting it , bet there be loads of interest
  5. I was of the opinion that there was quite a bit of variation in the breed, ie size ,fethering
  6. Was talking to someone recently and a line of pedigree salukis was mentioned. Now not wanting to start a bitching session but he said they were not pure as they were too small ? When looking at the breed standard kennel club and the saluki or gazelle hound site they both say 23 -28 inches bitches slightly smaller. The line in question comes into this standard, although I do know there can be variations in adult size within the same litter. The person I was speaking to said dogs needed to be at least 27 inches ? Out of interest what heights did some of the better know kc registered co

  22. Great believer in washing feet and cleaning nail beds ,can b done by hand or with a soft tooth brush. Then rub down to check for any nicks or cuts. Then just normal feed sometimes a bit of warm water on feed.
  23. Shredded paper, checked daily and changed when wet . If its getting dragged out try a higher board on bedding area, even terriers will jump 2 foot into a bed
  24. i USE A GOOD PAIR OF SCISSORS WHEN DOING RABBITS,. A decent pair will do for cutting rabbits to gut , and a lot less trouble if u are caught somewhere u shouldnt be .
